Kristina Can someone tell me what the point of the ending really was? I found it to be unnecessary and unrealistic. Was it just trying to emphasize how life can always be worse and you should be thankful for what you have?
This has been bothering me for a while. Help!!

Olivia I think it means, that you should live life right now instead of waiting till the future, like the main character did.

Patricialogan8 not sure the point of the ending was, I did think it was pathetic that it took them three days to find his body ON SCHOOL CAMPUS, I mean I don't believe he was that hated that no one noticed him for that long

Калина Коларова In my opinion the end has the idea that life is really awful pretty myuch of the time and it hits us hard a lot of times - but it is also something amazing. It IS unpredictable but everyone's main aim is to have strived to realise their dreams, don't you think ? Even if in the end your plans don't work out you'll feel proud of what you did and happy, too. Life means a struggle- a struggle to find who you really are, a struggle to make your dreams come true, and if you WORKED to make this happen- your life can't have been in vain. He was the only person different from the other students just because he endeavoured to do something and I honestly admire him. After all we saw he left them something to think over- what's the real point of life? - To open your eyes and try to achieve something, the efforts are never in vain- they make life reasonable.

That's what I got from it

Patricialogan8 To be honest, I think this book is a lot about Chris, minus the dying, and crappy parents, from what I know he has a good family, sadly his mother passed away suddenly, and she was very supportive of her kids unlike Carson's mother and father, a lot of the characters paralleled the ones in Glee, but that could be like many high school cliques

Annabel Well, the first thing I thought of the ending was that the title of the book revealed/said what was going to happen to him. Which I thought was ironic.

And also, from reading what's here, I agree with Olivia, that you should live your life in the present and not in the future. Because you don't know what's going to happen to you.

ALSO, this is a funny novel/journal. I'm not so sure if it's supposed to be that DEEP of a moral/theme.

Those are just my thoughts.

Patricialogan8 It had funny parts, but I think it it to be sarcasm
