Jake walked into the room with his hand in his pants pocket then he stopped when he saw the animals there and he looked around wondering where the teacher was at
((Fine by me))Dominic walked briskly into the room. He had had some trouble taming one of the dragons last time he'd been there, and he wanted to get some practice before the next lesson.
Jake glanced at the other guy who came in then looked back at the animals eyeing the dragons as several of them looked at him
Astrid walked in, smiling. This class would be a piece of cake. She immediately walked over to a caged Dragon and became wide eyed by its beauty. It had ruby red scales and beautiful emerald eyes overflowing with curiosity. The Dragon puffed a bit of smoke, but then she put out her head to Astrid. She reached out a hand and pet it's large, red head. "See that boys? That's how it's done!"
Dominic raised an eyebrow at the green-haired girl. The last time he'd tried to pet a dragon, the beast had almost bitten his hand off.He stepped closer to another dragon, this one with indigo scales and eyes the color of ice. He was careful to maintain eye contact and extended one hand slowly.
Jake watched silently curious on they manage to do it because last time he tried, a dragon tried to eat his leg but it only ended up breaking its teeth
Dominic smiled to himself as his fingers made contact with the dragon's smooth, shimmering scale. It didn't seem to want to eat him or to set him on fire, which was progress. The other boy, the one who had been in the room before him, hadn't made a move towards any of the animals yet.
Astrid sighed, this was all so BORING! She walked up to the smallest of the dragons, it was only a baby. It was shaking in a corner and Astrid's violet eyes looked at it sadly. It looked to have a broken leg, one of the students must of done it when the creature bit them. She reached her hand out, but the poor thing snapped at it. She looked to make sure no one was looking and opened the cage. The small Dragon looked at her painfully and she reached out one more time. The Dragon limped over to her hand and sniffed, then put his head down for her to pet it.
Jake watched her with amazement when he felt an puff of air hit his neck and coughed as he smelt smoke then he looked up to see one of the dragons looking down at him.
Dominic stepped away from the indigo-colored dragon and turned to look at his classmates. The girl was petting a tiny dragon that lay in her palm. The other boy seemed to be caught in a staring match with one of the adult dragons. Dominic moved towards them, trying to think of a way to get the other boy to safety without risking to make things worse.
Astrid picked up the shaking Dragon, holding it close. "Ssh," she soothed. It buried is face into her chest and then smiled, being careful to not touch is leg. "Aww, poor thing." She rocked it like a baby
Jake turned around to look up at the dragon as it looked back at him. It had blood red scales with ruby red eyes. He and the dragon looked back at each other for a little more before the dragon snorted and nuzzled Jakes hair.
Dominic snickered at the picture they made, relieved. He clamped down on a twinge of envy - was he the only one that these beast attempted to eat, burn to a crisp or otherwise maim on a daily basis?
"Do you guys have heading powers by any chance?" She asked. She held the Dragon closer and it lifted its had up for a second, then put it's head back where it was. "This one has a broken leg. She's just a baby, poor thing."
Jake pet the dragon on its snout then he walked towards the girl and the baby dragon then stopped and crouched down in front of her then used his x-ray vision to look sit it's leg and said "There's an clear crack along its whole shin. Since it's an clear break, it should heal rather quickly but the other guy should still splint it."
The Dragon snapped at him and Astrid gave an apologetic smile. "Sorry, she's a bit scared." The small creature's copper body shook. Astrid rocked it once more, feeling sorry for the thing.
Dominic swallowed. "Right" He retrieved the first-aid kit from the desk at the end of the room and approached the girl and the baby dragon. The creature was hissing and snapping, but it was young enough that it wasn't likely to pose a threat. Dominic worked on its leg carefully, especially since the little beast kept shaking and shifting under his hands.
Jake looked at the dragon then he looked next to him and grabbed some food that the dragons ate and held the food out to it
"Thank you." She gave a small smile to the two boys. "I'm Astrid." She brushed some green hair out of her face. "I just feel really bad for the creatures in here, considering what I am."
"Please do. And I wouldn't worry about being a freak", he smirked, "I don't know if you noticed, but you're in good company there."
Jake stayed silent as they talked and he gently pet the dragons head after it ate the food and had warned up to him
Paige Williams walked into the classroom, smiling. She hoped to make friends and attend class -of course.
Astrid put the Dragon down and her body morphed into that of a sky blue Dragon with black eyes. She blinked, looking at the boys and shifting her feet. Her gaze was full of amazement.
Paige looked around, seeing the dragon. "Wait, what class is this?"
((Sure, hopefully it doesn't get too crazy.))Astrid walked up to them, smoke coming from her nostrils. She looked at the new girl curiously and sorted.
"Alright. And why are there dragons?" Paige asked, raising an eyebrow. It was apparent she was new to this.
"It's an animal training class meaning their are different kind of animals here." Jake said and scratched an dragon under its chin
"Alright. Then why do we need two dragons?" She asked, slightly skiddish.
Astrid shifted back into herself. "We have a lot of dragons here, but I pulled one out because of its broken leg." She picked up the small Dragon again.
"Okay." Paige nodded slowly. "Alright." She was still confused, but understood some of what was going on.
"You know you can't. She has to stay here with her own kind." Jake said as he looked at Astrid with understanding eyes
Paige backed up, not wanting to get into it.
"I'm sorry, it's just... ah, never mind." She looked at her feet. "And don't say she's better in a cage. You don't know."
