Yippie! Dangerous animals!

Smith walked hand in hand with Dominic, now resting her head on his shoulder. She was so comfortable around him, and didnt know how to explain why. Smith liked being around him and wanted to be with him more often.

Dominic darted a glance at the pretty girl at his side and tightened his fingers around hers. "Come on", he said, tightening his fingers around hers and leading her through the zoo, to the cage where the eagles were kept. "These are my favorite", he confided, releasing her hand and putting his arm around her waist.

"Really? I like the polar bears. They remind me of myself... Except for the big and hairy part. " she smiled, keeping her head on his chest. Smith looked at the eagles as they flew from branch to branch.

Dominic laughed gently. "Yeah, they look so majestic and strong. Why do the polar bears remind you of yourself?" He laid his chin on top of her hair.

"They like the cold, they're normally antisocial, and they like to cuddle. " she looked up and him, thinking about how he held her hand in the classroom. Smith stayed close to him, her light blue bangs falling into her face.

Dominic glanced at her with a small smirk. "So you like to cuddle, then?"

Smith blushed brightly, looking away shyly. "Yeah... I do. " she was embarrassed that she had ever said that.

I'd like to cuddle with you , Dominic thought, but bit the words back. He didn't want to come off as creepy. After all, they hadn't known each other for long.
"Come on", he said instead, grabbing her hand again, "Let's go see them, then!"

Smith smiled and went with him, holding his hand tightly.

"How long have you been in town?" Dominic asked. "Not for long, I'd have noticed such a pretty girl."

"Not long. A few weeks." Smith smiled. She stood up on her toes, kissing his cheek.

Dominic felt his cheeks heat and he glanced at her. He squeezed her hand. "When did you find out about your powers?"

Smith began to tear up. "When I was a child..." She said sadly. "C-could we not talk about that?"

"Sure", he said. He looked down, unsure on how to comfort her. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable", he added after a while.

"It's fine..." She reassured him, standing in front of him, pressing his back into him.

Dominic bit his lip, trying to think of a way to make the situation less awkward. "We could try this to get to know each other: one of us will ask the other a question about themselves, and then the other will ask the first person a question in return, and so on", he blurted out.

"What's your favorite color?" She asked curiously, looking up at him.

"Blue", his mouth twisted in a smirk, "I know, stereotypical, right? What's yours?"

"Purple and blue. I can't choose between the two. " she smiled shyly, kissing his cheek again.

Dominic smiled back at here. "Ok, my turn: favorite book?"

"Hmm I really like the Lunar Chronicles. Im on the second book right now. And you?" She smiled, taking his hands and putting them around her waist.

He could feel her warmth through the layers of he clothing. "Well…", he said, then trailed off as ran his hands up her back and put them on her shoulders. She was close enough to kiss now. "I am a fun of the old classics mysteries, Sherlock Holmes and such." He cleared his throat.

Smith stood on her toes, slowly and awkwardly pressing her lips to his.

Dominic held her close and bent slightly, so that the angle of the kiss turned less awkward. He tangled an hand through her hair and gripped her shoulder with the other. Then he broke the kiss and blinked dazedly.

"Hi..." She said quietly, her cheeks bright red. Smith kept her arms around his neck, looking up into his eyes.

Dominic grinned, feeling elated. "Hi to you, too", he whispered, making sure to blow puffs of hot air on her lips.

"I think I'm done seeing the polar bears... I want to see a cute boy who likes the weather in his natural habitat that is a dorm room. " she smiled, kissing him again.

He felt his face heat slightly. "You're lucky, then", he said with a wink, "as you have exactly what you're looking for, right here."

"I want to cuddle like a polar bear.." She blushed, smiling at him. Smith kissed him deeply, wanting him to pull her closer.

Dominic wrapped his arms around her waist and drew her close against him. He laughed into her mouth at her turn of phrase.

Smith rest her head on his chest, closing her eyes.

He pressed a kiss on the top of her head and stroked her hair slowly, feeling utterly relaxed.

"Can we go back to your dorm?" She smiled against his chest.

"Sure", he said, smiling slightly.

She held onto his hand tightly, walking towards the exit.
