Ponyboy thinks the rumble is a bad thing, yet he begs Darry to let him be a part of it. Why does he decide to fight? Did he make the right decision?

Ponyboy decides to fight for many reasons. For example he want to sho Darry that he can use his head just as good as his brother Soda. Another example is because he wants to avenge Johny for being hert and in the hospital in critical condition. What these two examaples are showing is that Ponyboy is loyal to the gang.
Ponyboy was right to join the fight for many raeasons. For example he could have joind the fight because he wanted to be loyal to the gang. Another example is because it was the Soc's falt that Johny was in the hospital. These are two possible motives for Ponyboy joining the fight.

Ponyboy decided to fight for many reasons. For example he wanted to show everyone that he's not afraid of anything even if it means losing during the rumble. Another example is he wanted to do it for johnny.

Ponyboy had a right to fight for many reasons. For example he wanted to be loyal to his gang and fight in the rumble. Another example is the socs and the greasers were the whole reasons for this rumble because of the night johnny stabbed bob.

Ponyboy is right to fight because the socs are always mean to the greasers. The socs deserve what they get in the rumble. Ponyboy fights to get revenge on the socs for what they did to Johnny. The greasers have to win for Johnny and to stay on top of the gangs.

Ponyboy decides to fight for many reasons. One reason that Ponybody decides to fight is that he wants revenge for Johnny. What happened to Johnny was big to Ponyboy because Johnny and him were best friends and they did a lot of things together so since Johnny is in critical condition Ponyboy is upset and he wants revenge on the Socs because it was there fault. Another reason why Ponyboy wants to fight is so that he can be loyal to the gang and show them that he is more than a kid and that he can use his head. This will give Ponybody the respect he deserves and that he has been waiting for from his gang.
Ponyboy was right to fight he was standing up for the greasers and he way being loyal to his gang and supporting them in this big rumble so Ponyboy was right to fight. Another reason is Ponyboy is getting revenge on the Socs for ruining his life and he is finishing what he had started so he is right for Ponyboy to fight

Ponyboy decided to fight for many reasons. One reason that Ponyboy decided to fight is he has to protect his honor. If he did not go fight he will just be tagged chicken from the gang and the socs. Another reason is he wants to avenge for Johnny. Johnny was hurt by the socs and he has to fight the socs so Ponyboy can revenge for Johnny.
Ponyboy was not right to fight because even though he has good reason he still should not fight. Ponyboy knows that the fighting will not change any thing. Ponyboy also knows that Soda, Darry, Two bit, and him dose not belong with the sherperds gang fighting.

Ponyboy still wants to be loyal to the gang so that is why he doesn't want any trouble from his members thinking that he is a coward and doesn't want to fight. In addition, the whole point of this fight between the socs and the greasers is to fight for Johnny. So if ponyboy doesn't join the fight, everyone would think he gave up on Johnny and was too afraid to fight the socs. Ponyboy especially don't want his older brother, Darry to look down on him. Loyalty is a very important variable in this case and it is really kind for Ponyboy to still support his gang even though he thought differently himself.

Ponyboy is not right to fight at all because of many reasons. Even if the socs and the greasers fight in the rumble, its not going to change anything. The socs will always be the socs, and the greasers will always be the greasers. It is highly impossible for these two social cliques to suddenly act nice towards each other just because one of them won the rumble. For example, Randy, Bob's best friend, an witness in Johnny's killing, said all of those things. He is also one of the socs, but he thought better. He knew that the community will still be the same. That is why he left and escaped far away from the rumble, so that he wouldn't be a part of it. Cherry, another minor character in the text also explained to Ponyboy that she doesn't like fights. She thinks fights are violent and doesn't change the way the world works. The greasers will always be in the lower-class criteria and the socs will always be in the upper-class criteria. The greasers are foolish to think that this rumble will effect in a better life for them.

Ponyboy decided to fight because he was loyal to the greasers and it felt like it was something he had to do, because he was a greaser. This shows that being loyal is sometimes not a good things for many reasons. Another reason why ponyboy wanted to fight in the rumble is because he wants to show everybody that he isn't scared and is willing to fight.

Ponyboy isn't right to fight for many reasons. Ponyboy isn't right to be fighting in the rumble because there is no reason to fight and there is nothing to fight for. Another reason why ponyboy isn't right to fight is because he said " I shouldn't fight, I ain't even a hood I'm just a greaser." I think that ponyboys decision was wrong because he could have easily decided not to fight because there was no reason for him to be fighting in the rumble because nothing happend that is worth fighting for.

After the talk with Randy, Ponyboy doesn't really want to fight. However, he choses the better option to support his Greaser family. Ponyboy mostly agrees with Randy that fighting will end in a negative state with no positive. Ponyboy still agrees, but is fighting for other reasons. One reason is because Ponyboy wants to support Johnny. After Johnny gets injured and will mostly be sick for the rest of his life, he is still an important Greaser member. Since Johnny can't make it to the place for the rumble, Ponyboy will try to fight for him and help the Greasers win. Johnny is part of the Greasers and if they win over their enemy, it will be a joy. Also, the Socs were the team that caused Johnny's injury, so beating them will be their revenge and make Johnny feel much better. Another reason is because this is one main way for Ponyboy to prove his skills to Darry. Darry gave up his career for Ponyboy and always thought that he was smart enough as Sodapop. Ponyboy wants to prove that he is strong and is able to use his brain, just like Sodapop.

Ponyboy have done the right action to fight, in my opinion. One reason was because to get revenge. The Socs had gotten Ponyboy's family in trouble and Johnny injured badly. The Socs turned the Greasers from up to down, so Greasers should try to take control and stop them from doing anymore damage. Another reason was because Ponyboy had to help his buddies and try to get the Greasers to a higher level. Also, Ponyboy could show off his true powers so he can be trusted by his Greaser members, mainly Darry. Therefore, Ponyboy took the right action to fight.

Ponyboy decides to fight because of many reasons. One reason he decides to fight is to avenge Johnny. The whole reason why Johnny is in the state he is in is because of the Socs. Johnny had to kill one of the Socs because Bob was drowning Ponyboy so he stabs him and then leading onto further. Another reason why Ponyboy decides to fight is not for him but for the Greasers. Though they waited quite some time for this rumble and now they have it.

Ponyboy's decision to fight wasn't the best. For example, he already knows that fighting is pointless even Randy knows that as well. Whoever wins doesn't change the fact that they are Greasers and they are Socs. Another example is he is risking his life, just to beat the Socs. They already know what's going to happen and nothing will change.

i would think ponyboy wanted to fight was becuase his whole life he hated the soc's for everything they belives they are the reasion johnny is near death and bob is dead. and dally and curly were are there so they needed as much people as they could get to fight.

i would say yes and no. yes becuase he support and was LOYAL to his gang by helping them in the fight. however no because he should not get hurt anymore becuase he just amost droweed/ lost alot of weight/ ran in a fire/ burned. but he still goes to the rumble and he only gets worse.

Ponyboy decides to fight in the rumble for many reasons. One reason Ponyboy decides to fight in the rumble is because he wants to show Darry that not only can he fight, but that he can take care of himself. This shows that Pony wants Darry to know that he is mature enough that he doesnt need Darry babysitting him. Another reason is that Pony wants to fight is because of Johnny. This shows that Pony cares about Johnny enough and he wants to show Johnny that the Greasers are still fighting so he should say strong.

Pony was right but he was also wrong for fighting. One reason is that Pony remained loyal to his gang by fighting. This shows that Pony cared about his gang, because his gang didnt have enough fighters as it was(losing Johnny and Dally). He was also wrong for fighting because he knew that nothing would change after the rumble. This shows that Pony failed to take Randy's advice that Greasers will be Greasers and Socs will be Socs even if either of them win. Pony knew it would stay the same but he still chose to fight. Thus hurting others for no apparent reason.

Ponyboy decides to fight in the rumble for many reasons. One reason why Ponyboy wants to fight in the rumble is, he is loyal to the greasers. Even though Pony knows that the fight would be bad, Pony would do it for his gang. This shows that Ponyboy will always be there for his gang. Another example is Ponyboy wants to show Darry that he is not a child anymore. He wants to show Darry that he can handle a fight. This shows that Ponyboy wants to go to the rumble so that he can show Darry that he can fight too, and that he is not a child anymore.

Pony was right to fight for many reasons. One example is that Pony is a loyal member to the greasers and when the greasers are in trouble, he would be able to help. This shows that Pony will fight in the rumble for the greasers. Even though he knows that it is wrong, he will be loyal to the greasers. Another example is Pony wants to show the Socs that greasers are not trash. The greasers are always being picked on by the Socs and is treated like trash. This shows that if Pony goes to the rumble, he can show the Socs that the greasers are not trash, but they are equal to the Socs.
