Karen I have read Midwives and The Double Bind by Chris Bohjalian. I enjoyed both books. What other books by this author would you recommend reading? Thanks

Joclyn "Skeltons at the Feast," "The Sandcastle Girls," I'm waiting for his new book... "The Light in the Ruins" due out 7/16.

Karen Thanks I will check them out.

Wendi I loved Midwives. I thought the story development was excellent. Even though I picked it up as a drama, it read more like a thriller and I couldn't put it down. Are the other books you read by this author just as exciting?

Karen The only other one I read was The Double Bind. I thought is was pretty good.

Phyllis Runyan I loved Midwives. Another good one is Buffalo soldier.

Skeletons at the Feast is my favorite....I did not care for the plot twists in The Double Bind and Midwives.

Ally Copper I'm just repeating what a lot of other people have said, but 'Midwives' and 'The Double Bind' are his best. I also really enjoyed 'The Buffalo Soldier.' I also read 'Before You Know Kindness,' but did not like it as much. It doesn't have the strength of 'Midwives' or 'The Double Bind.'

Judy The Double Bind is an absolute favorite. Read it a while ago and just recently purchased it for my kindle to read again on an upcoming vacation. I don't usually re-read books...but this one is worth it.

Janet I just finished The Light in the Ruins. I enjoyed it. Learned quite a bit about Italy during WWII.

Mimi-loves-her-books! I didn't think I would like this book that much. I just picked it up randomly at my school library. It turned out to be really intense and interesting, I'm glad I read it.
