Pride discussion

Kal turned into his panther form and began to slowly walk through the woods, his eyes were sharp and his mind was keen. He always feels relief when he changes like as though he has a heavy load when he is human and only realizes it when he is a panther. He quietly searches for other animals for his next meal, deers etc.

Lily began walking slowly through the woods looking and listening. She could smell another pride member close by but didn't give it much thought. She was to busy looking for a deer or something. Sure she wasn't in her panther form but it would only take her a second to change into her panther form and attack. She wasn't the lead hunter for nothing. She was good at this. Really good. She'd never missed her prey a day in her life and she didn't plan to start now.

Another prime member was near by, great he thought. He continued to search for prey and at last he found a magnificent dear that was by a small stream. It was oblivious to him and he crouched down out of sight with his tail up. He flattened his ears and got ready to pounce.

Lily noticed her pride member spot a deer and silently watched from where she stood. Her sense of smell told her it was Kal. She wanted to see just how good of a hunter he was and the best way to do that was to watch and listen.

Kal waited for the right moment and jumped from his hiding position and attacked the dear. Caught by surprise the dear fell under the panther, Kal went for the neck first as all good hunters should and with a sickening crack it snapped and it lay dead. Kal began to eat the dead dear and felt self satisfaction at his successful hunt.

Lily watched Kal attack the deer and go straight for the neck. At least he's smart enough to know that you go for the neck first she thought silently. She watched him eat for a few minutes more before she began walking silently again. Not long she heard a crack. She knew it was a crack from a twig that a dear stepped on. She paused where she was and let her eyes fixate on the deer. Slowly creeping toward the tear she launched herself at it and in mid air turned into a panther. She landed on the large deer's back gracefully and bit into his neck and her the satisfying snap it made signaling it end. She bit into and began to eat.

Kal felt like he was being watched as he finished off the dear, he began to walk back out of the woods but he heard crack. Another animal was being eaten by no doubt the person/thing that had been watching him. He followed the sounds and came across another pride member, Lily the Head Hunter. He respected more superior pride members and she is his boss (he is a hunter. When she was finished eating Kal walked up to her,"Hi, any news about the outcasts?," He said politely and then added darkly,"or the other pride.."

Lily could hear Kal start toward her but paid him no mind as she finished her dear off. She had no problem changing back to her human form when he did reach her. With the back of her hand she wiped off any remains of the deer she'd just eaten. "Hey Kal."She greeted. She shook her head. "If there's new I ain't heard of it yet."She replied.

Kal nodded, no news is good news, right? He thought. She was in her human form and looked quite frightening with blood still dripping down her mouth and dirty hands but he said nothing about that, he was far to polite to women to insult them in their appearance. "Well wanna go somewhere else? We might as well put a sign on our foreheads It us. if we stay here any longer."

From the look on Kal's face she knew she didn't look so hot. She licked her lips and sure enough there was still blood. She wiped her mouth clean of blood and wiped her hands on her jeans. There wasn't much else she could do about her appearance right now. She laughed. "Sure did you have any place in mind?"She asked, silently agreeing with him on that. Staying here any longer probably wasn't a good idea the pride tried to stay inconspicuous.

Lily looked a lot better without all the creepy blood and Kal relaxed a little. "How 'bout 39 degrees cafe?" He smiled and winked, a typical Kal move.

"Sounds good to me."She said with a smile and a wink back at him. She saw him relax after she'd gotten rid of the blood on her mouth. In her head she shook her head wondering how that could bother him so much when he did the same thing.

"Cool, let's go," he said with a small smile and made a gesture for her to follow him. They walked out of the forest to town where they talked lightly about the prides and life.

Lily followed after him and they talked randomly about life and the prides ect. It was nice. She needed this. Normal relaxed instead of stressing over finding her mate and worrying that she won't find him on time.
