Angelique (angelique682) Yes I know that the poll is open till the 10th but it has become pretty clear that we will be reading another book along with Frostbite in June. Which is pretty cool I think.

So herewith please post your recommendations for June.

Echoes is quite good. It used to be called Fingerprints but now it's usually Echoes. It's 3 stories in 1 book and keeps you up all night reading it.

message 3: by Faith (new)

Faith | 8 comments Sorry for inactivity. For this month, I nominate "The Great Gatsby" in honor of the movie coming out. I'm sorry if it's already been recommended, or if you have read it in the past.

We've only read a couple of books in the past when we started the group, then we stopped for ages.

I've been inactive for a while, so I don't really know what's been going on.

So, we're just reading the 6 books in the Vampire Academy series until October. and also reading a different book along with them every month. Maybe after we finish the series we could read the connected series; Bloodlines, The Golden Lily, The Indigo Spell. And The Fiery Heart comes out 19th November this year.

message 7: by Lauren (new)

Lauren I'll nominate Looking For Alaska by John Green or Room by Emma Donoghue or Frankenstein by Mary Shelley .

Can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PPPPPPPPPPPPPLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEE read If I Should I've been waiting for it for a year, and I just bought it online so it'll be here in time for June.

On the other hand, I'd quite like to read Room by Emma Donoghue, so I'll TRY not to complain too much if we don't choose If I Should Die ;P. Reading the Bloodlines series is also a VERY good idea. I can't wait for The Fiery Heart to come out.

Amy Plum. It's only out in hardcover at the moment (as if 7th May) and it's NZ$33.95 from Whitcoulls. I don't know how much it is elsewhere. I just know I was fine with because I didn't have to pay for it :P.

I won't be able to get it then :(

message 12: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca I have a couple of ideas either SpellfallorThe Glass Tower: Three Doorways into The Otherworldthey both look interesting to me and I think that they would both be available to everyone currently.

message 13: by Angelique (new)

Angelique (angelique682) I just checked it out Hannah, and I think we need to just leave it for July or August, so it gives us other mortals some time to get our hands on it.

Can we do it August? That's my birthday month and it would be a lovely gift from all of you (hint, hint ;P).
And btw, I am a mortal, I just have supernatural powers of organization, even if my art teacher disagrees. She gave me a 'needs to improve' on my organizational skills! Anyone could look at my diary for two seconds and be able to become me (although they would have to have pretty high energy levels- I'm busy almost every lunchtime and afternoon of the week). I called my mother today and had a big rant because even though I don't like art, I don't appreciate being told that I am disorganized.

message 15: by Angelique (new)

Angelique (angelique682) Haha, okay that's good to know. Wish I had some organizational skills. Alas this I lack.

Heehee, think we can. Just recommend it again in August and we can see what everyone thinks then?

My birthday is Saturday!!! I think it's a good present to read Vampire Academy though. I just finished reading it and decided to re read the last book in the series, Last Sacrifice.

message 17: by Angelique (new)

Angelique (angelique682) Feels like Deja Vu. Just read the thread where you said that in the discussion folder. heehee.

I shall not repeat myself.

Bleh I shall. I haven't read Last Sacrifice yet. I won't until the whole group gets to it with me.

I'm reading Torment until the next time I go to the library, then I'm reading the rest of The House of Night (4-10. I have 5-8 out already) and then the 5 Strange angels books (I've already read 3).

Jess, I can't believe that you are able to read so many books between your library visits. I go the library at least once a week and I read about 5 books a week depending on my homework load. HOW CAN YOU READ 16 BOOKS IN 1 WEEK? THAT'S MORE THAN 1 A DAY.

They're due on the 4th June and I can't read the House of Night books I have out atm because I need to read one book (4th)before them that I haven't read first.
