Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) Your challenge, should you wish to accept it, is to read three books titled so that the first letter of the titles will spell M-A-Y. In order to count, it must be the first letter of the first word (unless the first word is The). For a bonus, read a book with the word May or Spring in the title. The challenge will begin May 1 and run through May 31.

M ~
A ~
Y ~

Bonus:
May ~
Spring ~

One of the fun things about mini challenges is that most things count! lol And you can use any of these books for any of your other challenges as well. Just make sure they are read in the month of May.

And I have some prizes too...

message 5: by Cindy (new)

Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) It doesn't have to be YA. It can be anything you want to read.

Yes, A Matter of Magic will count for the A. It would also count for M so you can use it for one or the other.

Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) And when looking for books for the bonus round, remember, use your resources. Goodreads and other search-ey sites can help you out...

message 16: by Cindy (new)

Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) R.L., we want to read the books during the month of May. If you've already read them and are going to re-read them this month, that's okay.

message 17: by Cindy (new)

Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) Why don't you do The Maze of Bones for M? It's on your to read list.

Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) I may have bitten off more than I can chew this month! lol I am trying to read all 5 books for this challenge and The Fellowship of the Ring for the challenge picked by Shrishti, and I'm buying a house and moving, and I'm a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding and throwing the wedding shower this weekend. And I still have to work full time and do laundry! lol

I'm just annoyed because I haven't got much reading done in the past week. I should have finished at least one, if not two, novels in the past 7 days and I don't think I've read 7 pages. And reading is how I relax! And I can't relax if I can't read! Every spare minute right now is spent putting together favors for the shower and making the games, and chasing down people who didn't RSVP, and finalizing the photographer and the cake and the restaurant reservation and ordering flowers, not to mention I still have to do the flower arrangements come Saturday morning after I pick the flowers up from the florist. Oh, AND it's Mother's Day. Which means I have to remind my brother to come see my mom and hopefully, at the very least, bring her a card so her feelings won't be hurt. Because he ALWAYS forgets.

I'm tired just from typing all that! lol Hopefully after the shower is done this weekend some time will free up and I'll get back to my nice relaxing books. But then, I have to pack everything I own to move into my new house at the end of the month. *sigh* I may not finish my own challenge! lol

How is everyone else doing so far?

message 22: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Awww :( I hope you will finally get the time to sit down and relax! Sometimes I feel the exact same as you, even though I'm not that busy. I'm sure that you can do it Cindy!

By the way congrats on the new house!

message 23: by Cindy (new)

Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) Thanks, Chelsea and Shrishti. I still haven't gotten much reading done but we had the wedding shower on Saturday and it was a wonderful success. My sis-in-law loved it and that definitely made the stress worth it! Now to do a little reading before bed.

How is everyone else progressing with this challenge?

message 24: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I'm almost halfway through my book. Reading has been really slow lately due to school.

You could go with You Know You Love Me (Gossip Girl, #2) by Cecily von Ziegesar if you like that kind of a book.
