A forest full of unicorns and griffins. Hunting grounds

Tikatch soars over the forest, her ice blue eyes fixed on the ground below. She spots a herd of deer and signales to Trotzen wiht her tail to keep as silent as possible.

Acknowledging the signal, Trotzen shifted in the air to eliminate the sound of the wind rushing over his wings. He sped quietly over to the other side of the herd and waited for Tikatch to react.

"Okay. Here's the plan: I rush at the deer from the left side and you grab them on the right side. The trees are blocking the other two sides so it will make it harder for them to escape." Tikatch whispered silently to Trotzen. She headed towards the deer from the left side and waited for Trotzen to get into postition before rushing at them.

Trotzen couldn't help but admire the genius in Tikatch's plan. She wasn't a hunter, but she was a fighter. He swooped to the right side and waited patiently for the plan to fall into place.

Tikatch burst out a stream of fire, scaring the deer right towards Trotzen. She landed on the ground and swiftly jumped here and there, catching as many of the straggling deer as she could before they reached Trotzens waiting talons.

Trotzen roared, leaping at the fleeing deer. His quick, precise movements were no match for the frightened animals.

In less than a few minutes they had both captured over half the herd. "I think thats good." Tikatch said as pulled her prey into a pile and stretched out her wings to get ready to take off. She flapped her powerfull wing muscles and hovered over her catch. She grabbed two deer in her front claws and one in her mouth. She nodded at Trotzen for him to do the same.

Snorting smoke through his nostrils, Trotzen proudly lifted his catch into the air, ready to head back to camp. He almost forgot to flap his wings when he gazed at Tikatch hovering in the air.

Tikatch snorted as she saw Trotzen with his deer dangling from his mouth and claws. She almost laughed out loud but quickly thought better of it so her catch would not fall from her mouth. She glided upward and headed back to camp.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" Tikatch asked Trotzen as she settled in the shade of a giant oak.

Trotzen flicked his tail nervously. "I was just thinking back to what you said about young dragons earlier." He looked at her, blinking slowly.

"Yes. We need more hatchlings." she answered.

"There…aren't many dragons who have mates…or want one." Trotzen struggled with his words, trying to make them sound indifferent.

"I would like one." she said as she glanced at Trotzen.

Trotzen tried not to show his excitement and surprise at these words. "I would as well."

Tikatch responded just as surprised at his words. "Really? I never knew. I always thought that you dind't like hatchlings clambering over you back. I do."

"I suppose I don't mind it. Hatchlings become strong dragons. I would love to train some."

"Yes, me to. Lightning Sun Clan needs more dragons in training." Tikatch responded as glanced to her left. A foolish mouse had strayed in reach of her jaws. She quickly snatched it up with a snake like turn of her head and gulped its tiny body down her throat.

"Good catch." Trotzen was unsure if Tikatch was really catching the meaning in his words. He didn't know how to tell her WHO he wanted for a mate.

"Thanks. I could've scorched the mouse with fire instead, but I don't want roast mouse at the moment." she smiled at Trotzen, edging ever so slightly closer.

"I could do with some roast mouse." He shifted his wings, amused, then lightly and hesitantly flicked his tail over hers.

Tikatch chuckled. "Well, if another mouse happens to stray to close, then I will roast it without hesitation." she (do dragons purr/growl kinda? I dunno. I am just going to say that she purred/growled.)

Tikatch flicked her tail back a little more harder than he had. She licked her chops as another foolish mouse scampered closer than the first. She felt a hot burning, but not hot enough to hurt her innards, begin to rise inside of her until it reached her throat and out of her mouth. The mouse was dead in seconds. She grabbed in her jaws and tossed it ober to Trotzen. "There's your roast mouse." she said. "These mice are foolish! Didn't their parents teach them to beware of dragons?"

Trotzen growled, assumed, and snapped up the mouse. "Thanks, Tikatch. You would make a very good hunter."

"Thank you, Trotzen. I love to hunt, but I would rather fight. I am good at both. I don't know why dragons have to only be a hunter, or only be a fighter. Why can't we be two things? Or three? I have plenty of excess time when I am not fighting. I could have a hunting job, as well, for when I am not fighting." Tikatch pointed out.

"You're smart too. I've never thought of that. I'm sure you could do all the jobs wonderfully." Trotzen suddenly noticed how close they were. The cool breeze made him want to curl up more.

Tikatch smiled, revealing several sharp teeth and long, razor-like fangs. "And you also. We could both." she flicked her tail (that totally sounds like something a cat would do) over his, not lightly brushing it as before.

Trotzen breathed smoke through his nostrils. "We could." He felt like all he was doing was agreeing with her. He couldn't think of what to say. What do I do?

"Watch this." Tikatch instructed. She blew a puff of smoke into the air. Before it could disspear, she let out a soft breath of air, forming the smoke into a strange shape.

Trotzen laughed deeply. "That's impressive. Let me try." He followed the same procedure, turning his smoke into a long thin shape that looked somewhat a snake.

Abyss soared through the sky, chasing a griffin. She managed to burn its wing, having it fall to the ground with a loud crash that broke its bones. She landed onto the ground and stared at the other two dragons. "Father said to hunt, not have fun, in hunting field. We're here to survive."

Trotzen looked down from his smoke cloud and over at Abyss, slightly annoyed at what she had said. He glanced at Tikatch, not sure how to react.

Abyss stared at them both, having no feelings or expressions in her stare. "A large herd of unicorns is near. Why not you start off with them?"

"O-okay. Come on, Trotzen. Looks like we need to go hunting again." Tikatch lifts her wings and with a powerful push of her hind legs, she jumps into the air. Her wings lift her above the trees as she glides in circles and waits for Trotzen to follow.

Muttering unhappily to himself about how they had just gone hunting and fed half the tribe, Trotzen launched into the air and sped away with Tikatch.

Tikatch eyed the forest below with crystal blue eyes, searching for any hint of a unicorn herd. "Down there, inbetween that clearing of Aspen trees and Pines." she pinted with her snout towards a clearing that was half bordered by Pines and the other half by Aspens.

Abyss stared after them then unfolded her wings. She than jumped into the air and flew to the camp.

"Perfect. Follow my lead." Trotzen swooped down over the clearing, making a few circles, planning where to strike.

Tikatch followed Trotzen, her white scales faintly shimmering in the now partly could covered sun. She flew in circles with Trotzen, waiting for him to tell her the plan.

"Okay, you approach from the back. I'll drive in from the left and we can herd them towards the cliff face." Without waiting for an answer, Trotzen flew into position, staying high, and watched Tikatch.

Tikatch nodded and headed off to the back of the herd, silently hovering just low enough for the unicorns to not see them. She watched their sparkling horns as she waited for Trotzen to drive them from the left.

Trotzen lilted his wings and went into a dive, coming at the unicorns fast. He roared, sending them scattering towards Tikatch and all over.

Pouncing on several unicorns, Tikatch blew a stream of white fire towards some of the escaping animals, careful not to catch the surrounding trees on fire also. Once she was out of breath, she swatted at a nearby panicked unicorn, running towards her at full spead with its horn sticking straight towards her. She killed it with a quick swat of her paw and claws, then went back to scourching the unicorns with fire.

Adrenaline pumping from the chase, Trotzen roared again, and opened his maw to toast up some nice tasty unicorn.

As they finished off the herd, Tikatch roared with triumph. Her heart still pulsing wildly, she walked over to Trotzen. "Good plan! We sure demonlished them!"

"We did! Now, let's cart this back to camp, and maybe Abyss will let us stray off again." He grabbed up several unicorns in his jaws.

Tikatch did the same with the other prey. Her wings strained as she lifted them and took off with a burst of speed. The unicorns weighed her down, but she would not let a few peices of prey weight her to the ground.

They soared off fast, though slightly slower with the heavy unicorn meat. Trotzen's mouth watered just thinking about how it would taste. ((Move to camp?))
