What did you think of it?

I really liked it!! The Caster Chronicles series is my favorite series ever!!!! I haven't read Beautiful Redemption yet though. Beautiful Darkness, though I did really like it is my least favorite book in the series... Why?? First off I felt it was kind if slower paced and my favorite part of Beautiful Creatures, and Beautiful Chaos is Lena and Ethan's relationship! I really like Lena and Ethan!! They are by far my favorite book character couple!!! They are sooooo adorable together. So I didn't like that they were separated for most of Beautiful Darkness. I also found the pacing to be slow in this book compared to the others. Most of the time was spent in the tunnels.. I did really like Liv as a character though. I think she's really cool :) I'm actually re-reading the series and I just started re-reading Beautiful Creatures. So I may have a different opinion of the second book the second time I read it, but we'll see. Overall I liked it, but it was my least fav in the series.

This was my favorite in the series. Lena's never been my most favorite person in the world so the fact she was gone was good for me at least. Then I absolutely fell in love with Liv! She is an amazing character, though kinda like Hermione Granger from HP. One thing I did notice was that this book had striking similarities to new moon, e.g: mortal left alone after lover leaves, has to go find the lover, new person enters creating love triangle, etc.

I didn't like it as much as the first. I wanted more Lena and Ethan together. I did like Liv's character a lot, though.

I am really struggling to get through this one...I enjoyed the first but I am taking an extended break right now...

Beautiful Darkness is currently in route to me but I still haven't read the other three. I guess I am in for a read-a-thon weekend. :D

I'm on beautiful redemption right now and I'm already bored a 100 pages in. This is a common thing for these books: the beginning is pure torture to get through but by the 250th or so page it finally starts picking up and then in drops again and then up again for the climax

I liked this book than Beautiful creatures. Actually i liked the series very much but not its movie though :)

I haven't seen the movie. I just heard it was really bad and they focused way too much on the romance.

I'm not really a fan of this series. I read through the 3rd I think and it didn't get better for me. Lena is not my fav character. I liked Liv much better.

Liv's amazing! Her and Ethan have a very cute relationship. I hate how the authors hardly have her in beautiful redemption :(

I didn't like it as much as the first one. I like Liv, she's very interesting :D Lena I found very frustrating, but honestly she has never been a favorite of mine. Its not my favorite book in the series.

The first one was better. Still this one is quite good. Although I think the series was getting weaker with every book. I mean the author could have wrote just the first book and it would have been alright!

I am having a lot of trouble finishing this one. I loved the first one but I don't like the way that Lena is all of a sudden leaving after being so close to Ethan. It reminds me a lot of New Moon. Right now I'm taking a break from it... not sure ill manage to finish...

I agree, very new moonish. Like I get that Lena's sad and stuff about Macon but she just needs to get over it already!

Lena kind of annoyed me a bit...
But I agree that it isn't the best - I've read the rest of the series and they are much better.

Im not sure I can recommend it. In fact I can't even seem to get interested enough to finish it. :(

I really liked the first book and was excited to see where the second book would take us. It was interesting that Ethan had his own special ability/quality but I wish that there had been a little more history to go with it. Also I love Link! I think he was my favorite character through all four books. I would say this series was ok but not something that I would read again.

I absolutely love the first 2 books in this series. I'm still waiting to read the third book. In my opinion the first book was better. Lena and Ethan's connection and liked how the story line was. It kinda made me upset though since the second one went a little slower. But overall, great book!!

Is this part of a series then? I was looking at some of the comments and figure that it is. I'll look it up too because I haven't read it yet. Your comments helped though. Thanks!

I'm currently reading Beautiful Darkness right now, and I'm actually liking it better than the first one so far. I love seeing how the story is diving deeper into the darker side of the caster world, and I'm enjoying the new characters, and the development of the old ones (I have come to fall in love with Link, he cracks me up!). I'm about half way through it, so I'm looking forward to where the rest of the story is headed.

I was kinda iffy about the first one, sometimes I loved it, other times I was like "nothing special". I realllllyyyy liked Beautiful Darkness. The world building kept on going. I didn't even see the Lucille thing coming. The only thing is that I still think Ethan sounds too much like a girl narrative-wise. But, thankfully, some of the girliness has faded away. The writing was beautiful, though. I loved having more Link and Ridley.

I'm reading Beautiful Chaos and it's even better than the other two. I wasn't that into to te first one, but the I read the next one and WOW. I loved te spins and how the story surprised me one and a million times again and again.I'm really glad I decided to keep on reading this series.

I think if they had to make a TV series of the Castor Chronicals for like FOX TV something similar to the Vampire Diaries based on the books exclusively it will be amazing. We should start a petition or poll, lets get this ball rolling!!!

A TV show would be a great idea! They really need to remake the movie because it did not give the book justice at all!

No justice at all!!! I agree. I mean come on, even Boo Radley wasn't in it. How hard is it to find a 'scary' dog?

Oh my gosh I know right! There are tons of movie dogs out there m, why couldn't they find at least one??? Did the director even read the books??? I'm so glad I didn't see this in the theater because I would have disrupted some people with my frustrated comments, lol

Haha. You're not the only one who's frustrated about it. I don't know what's up with the movie production. :( totally hated the movie.

I don't know why about 75% of YA films stink. It's almost like the director thinks it will be easy money and makes a sucky film, expecting it to be the next Twilight or Hunger Games. Fan bases don't grow overnight. If directors and producers want to make money, have a good script that is obviously adapted from the novel, unlike some movies I know *cough* beautiful creatures *cough* and pick a book that actually has a fan base to begin with!

Yes! How hard could it be for a movie to be relevant with the books? I really think every YA deserved to be produced by HBO look how great the game of thrones is.

Game of thrones has to be one of the best book-movie adaptions there is. If only all adaptions could be like that! I really hope the Divergent adaption ends up being good....

I saw the pictures from the movies. So far it looks good. Yes, we all hope for the best :)

I'm not sure if they are going to make a movie for Beautiful Darkness but I hope so. I really liked the first movie. Though the second book was my least favourite, but I'm going re-read the series soon. :)

I loved the movie too! And I've heard a lot of people didn't like the second book that much, but I enjoyed it! I liked it a lot better than the first one

It would be difficult to make the second movie without changing the plot a bit because they changed the ending of the first movie. Also, it's very unlikely a sequel will be green lot because of beautiful creatures low performance at the box office

I am reading it right now. I wondering if Sarafine and Ridley are going to show up?

I read this series long time ago, but I think I didn't hate this book like a lot of people do. It was shorter than the first one, so it was easy to read.

But seriously,why people hate this so much?? (Right now, I can't remember ANYTHING from this book)
