Yes. Definitely overrated. The right band at the right time at the right place, the perfect alignment of planets, but definitely overrated. I mean, really, who throws on a Nirvana album these days? So many bands who led the way and never got much commercial success were better, although that's not Nirvana's fault.

My kid just got on a Nirvana kick. Not sure what is up with that. Although he is open and can enjoy a lot of different music, his favorites tend to be quite hard and fast.

The songs are fine. I liked the band, but the reaction to his suicide really disturbed me. All these people decided he was better than they thought he was two weeks prior to his death.
