I have read the three volumes with the comment of Paramahansa Yogananda and liked it because he uses a simple language to explain difficult concepts; he is also repetitive but it wasn't boring, indeed, it helped to understand better.I know only this one.
Please buy or download Shri Chinmayanandha's discourse on the"holy Geetha" It is excellent. The concepts have been explained to suit contemporary setting without compromising the ancient vedic concepts even a wee bit. But a word of caution : this book does not have word-by-word meanings
Thanks Madhur for starting this thread. Ive been meaning to read Bhagvad Geeta too but there are so many in the market..I tried reading one released by Iscon but too heavy to continue...anything simpler than that would be better- any suggestions?@ Dely- thanks- I will look them up.
Hey Mansee I am still confused as everybody have different-different suggestions for it. I am trying to get more information about all the relevant books. I'll update this thread if I find anything. Meanwhile, I am expecting more people to suggest different books so that we can have a glance at the books before reading.
Geetapress Gorakhpur has various editions of Bhagvad Geeta right from pocket sized ones to thick bulky types. The best are the ones wherein the shlokas are translated from Sanskrit to English and Hindi.
Should be available at AH Wheeler book shops at Railiway Stations or maybe you can check Geetapress website and order.

I want to read Bhagwat geeta. I am confused that from which author I should read. Can somebody suggest from where should I read.
Thanks,
Madhur
