I won twice (: just keep trying ;)

I have won a about 7 or 8 books. I read them and write a review. I think that it helps get more. I kept trying to win without the review and I didn't get anything so I wrote the review and it wasn't long after that I starting winning. So I just kept writing them.. :) Good Luck!

I've beening winning sporadically after I started writing reviews. You don't need to review a book you've won to win the next, but it does help! It did take me over a year to start though. Do make sure the giveaways you are entering are for your country!

Fully filling out your profile, participating in all aspects of GoodReads, and entering very early or very late all improve your odds of getting the algorithm to choose you as the winner. I am new here and have won 13 times!

In April & May of last year, I won 13 all in a row, then nothing! All were reviewed. I dont write long reviews as I dont want a synopsis of a book but what is good & bad about it and why!

MG! How do you guys have such luck. I've never won and always hate myself because for one I never get to enter many giveaways entirely because I don't have a twitter. (You'd understand if you've seen the online giveaways with points for doing certain things.)

I've won 11 books so far and that was in a period of only about 5 months. Since then, which was about last October, I've not won anything!

I have won over 15 books in the last 3 weeks. I just went to my P.O Box and picked up 8 of them! I can't wait to read them and write reviews!

I'm an author and have done 3 giveaways. I've always wondered if the people who enter win often or seldom. Interesting.

I won once, over a year ago. I did write a review, but haven't won any since. Maybe the giveaways have become more popular, and there's more competition.

I've won twice. I'm not sure I agree with the sentiment that you can't win one if you haven't reviewed the last one, because I forgot to review the first one.

I do think that it does matter if you are an avid reader of that author/publisher. If you have a number of positive reviews for the author's books, it may help. If you want to increase your chances, also try friending the author/publisher of the book, and follow their reviews.

I haven't won even once, and have written a few reviews, some short, some quite long, without any plagiarism - I am also very active on GR. How do I write a review of a giveaway book when I haven't won it???? I mean, how do I win the first time round? I also am selective in entering - I don't enter randomly, only those that correspond to my tastes and shelves!

I've won 6 times and reviewed three of them (The Goodreads ones, I mean)

BUT Goodreads has this thing, that you cannot win another one unless you've reviewed the ones you have already!

Another thing that helps is reviews- fairly long ones.
