The Kindle eBook version of Mortal Realm Witch: Learning About Magic was just published on the 24th of May.
Mortal Realm Witch: Learning About Magic is part of a uniquely written series. The first book contains 6 separate, but connecting, short stories, most of which are about a young witch learning how to use her new powers and about responsibility. Each story in the book is told by a different character or viewpoint. Besides DWW's story about how she became a witch, her familiar, the talking Golden Retriever, Trillman, and The Head of the Witches Council, Trom, each continue the story from their viewpoints. Unlike most books, there is no major plot line, the plot is about DWW learning responsibility, which is a big challenge for her and her magic teachers.
In Learning About Magic, the turning point is a story called "Wolf Magic". In "Wolf Magic" DWW takes on the role of full time magic teacher to two magical wolf pups and in doing so learns much about herself. DWW then arrives home in time to face her biggest challenge and the test to see if she is ready for a bigger role in the series. This test comes in the form of a young warlock who wants to take over the Realms.
Besides DWW's story, there is also a story called "Dragon Familiar". "Dragon Familiar" connects into DWW's stories by telling what impact she has had on the rules for witches, but it is the story of a young witch called Ally and a dragon called Air Raid. Ally is required to have a familiar because she is a witch. When she finds one she wants, she is told, by Trom, that dragons can't be familiars. Ally believes Air Raid would be a good familiar and Trom allows her the chance to train him.

Synopsis: In the midst of the Second World War, Abigail is deposited at St Winifred's Orphanage for Willful, Wayward and Wicked Children. As soon as she arrives, Abigail is warned of the Bagman and what will happen if she misbehaves. But Abigail is too busy trying to escape to listen. Her estranged twin, Tabitha, is close by and Abigail has to find her before their 16th birthdays. Besides, she doesn't believe in the Bagman.
He believes in her though. Appearing when she least expects it; he asks her to play his Game. He will give her seven wishes to be used in seven days. But the Game is not as easy as Abigail supposes, and the wishes not as nice…
Soon, Abigail is getting exactly what she wished for. And the effects are catastrophic.

I just read a really great YA book called Wicked Hunger, by DelSheree Gladden. The book is about two teens dealing with a family curse that causes them to have an uncontrollable hunger for the suffering of others. What I liked about it is that the characters are well-written and relatable. With their lust for pain, it would be easy to see them as evil, but they're not. Possibly the first book about the female pirate Captain Flora Burn - woven into historic fiction. She was an interesting historic figure in that she seemingly arrived on the Eastern Seaboard from nowhere ( she was complicated ), and she and her crew eventually vanished into thin air.

I just released my first book for the YA/Adult audience, a short story entitled 'PURE TRASH, The Story'. The story is a 1950s Saturday adventure of Shawn Daniels, a poor boy living in rural New England. Here's a review from the back cover of the paperback version:
