Frezanda | 5 comments If you like fantasy genre, you can try Icemark chronicles by Stuart Hill, the House of the Scorpion, the Sea of Trolls by Nancy Farmer.

Heidi (yabibliophile) (hmz1505) | 3 comments The two Beka Cooper books by Tamora Pierce are some of my fav books and they're quite long. Also, Runemarks, Brave Story, and East are longer and have been highly reviewed. I've not read them. Volumes I and II of Octavian Nothing are longish too.

Heidi (yabibliophile) (hmz1505) | 3 comments I just went back and looked at books we have in common and think that, although they aren't all that long, you might enjoy John Green's books (Looking for Alaska, An Abundance of Katherines, Paper Towns, and Let it Snow.) I'd start with Katherines.

London Maximum Ride series... I am just getting into them but i flew through the first one and am almost done with the second one... i am loving them soooo much... they are pretty long...around 400 pages but the font is small so them seem a lot longer

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) His Dark Materials Omnibus is an all in one trilogy, which is the way I read it. Almost 1,000 pages and excellent.

Grace | 12 comments *Seconds His Dark Materials* Especially if you can get it in one book.

If you haven't yet read GONE WITH THE WIND, you should.

I just read Uglies by Scott Westerfield. It was amazing. About 425 pages so not amazingly long....but still.

message 13: by Roseann (new)

Roseann (roseannmvp) Teen Book: Octavian Nothing (2 huge volumes) or The Pillow Book
Everyone Book: Twilight series
Kids Book: Hugo Cabret
Dad says: Edgar Sawtelle is great ( It's on my list!)

message 14: by Grace (new)

Grace | 12 comments Lonely Werewolf Girl is pretty long, 520 pages, but it seems a lot longer because there are hardly any margins and the font is small. It took me a fair while to get through.

Melissa The Book Thief by Markus Zuzak

message 16: by Kelly (new)

Kelly The Book Thief is really awesome. I've started The Pillow Book and I'm enjoying it.

message 17: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) The Book Thief is a wonderful book but I don't consider it particularly long. There's a lot of pages but there's a lot of white space, large fonts, some pictures, and I think it's a relatively fast read.

message 18: by London (new)

London The Uglies series was really good!!!!

message 19: by Amira (new)

Amira (liightningbolt) If you're into Fantasy, the LotR triolgy.

message 20: by Kristen (new)

Kristen Harvey City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass

message 21: by Ellen (new)

Ellen (honeyelle) I agree with Kristen - the Mortal Instruments Trilogy is wonderful.

Not exactly YA, but it has a 17 year old protagonist: read The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons. Epic WWII, set in Russia romance. I'm a YA reader, but I've read this as many times as I've read my favourite YA books.

message 22: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexabexis) I would also suggest the Uglies series. Or anything by L.J. Smith, whose books have all recently been reprinted in larger volumes - 2 or 3 books per collection. Night World is my favorite (start with Vol. 1: Secret Vampire, Daughters of Darkness, Spellbinder), but her Vampire Diaries series is super popular, and has some new books in the series that just came out, after the original 4.

message 23: by London (new)

London Yes. L.J. Smith books are very good! I read the Secret Circle which were my favorite!!!

message 24: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelmarie976) | 2 comments Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare (awesome series), Any L. J. Smith books(night world, dark visions, or secret cirlce), Twilight series, Morganville Vampire series by Rachel Caine (there not long books but there are 6 of them, the summoning and the awaking by kelley armstrong, the mediator series by meg cabot (there great books, its a great story and there funny)

message 25: by Emily (new)

Emily (emily3) This isn't really a YA book, but I'm 13 and I've found it a lot better than a lot of YA books. It's called "The Time Traveler's Wife." Just make sure that you have plenty of free time where you won't be interrupted, because you're not going to want to put it down. ;)

message 26: by Maggie (new)

Maggie Stiefvater (maggie_stiefvater) Sigh, I love THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE, but it is definitely not YA. It's one of those books that gets you stuck in its web for days.

message 27: by Whitney (new)

Whitney | 5 comments Definitely not YA, but The Time Traveler's Wife is my FAVORITE book... probably ever. I can remember reading it for the first time when I was traveling with friends in Europe for spring break. It was 4 o'clock in the morning, my best friend and her boyfriend were asleep in the bed next to me, and I was crying like a baby. :)

message 28: by London (new)

Well that's specific.

little miss sunshine(michelle.oOO.) (mcnerd) | 1 comments umm... i dunno if you´ve heard of it, but there´s this trilogy i love so much... kissed by an angel... it was written around ´95 (about my age :P) so it has tape references, and some other weird 90´s stuff, but its really good. each book is around 250 pages long, but now there´s this new edition with them bound into one book. must read for teens, especially if you liked (or would like to read) the twilight series, which are good long book recommendations as well.
