I was looking through the debates when i found that the sacrireligious conversations really impended a populate focus. Because the discussion was so popular, I am resurrecting it. What do you think of monotheism and polytheism? Do you believe in God? Do you have atheistic views on life? What do you think of reincarnation or heaven? Or the prophets of different religions

I had very little say in earlier discussions. My opinion is that if I don't know much about a topic, even one my mindset is embedded into, I keep my mouth shut. But I want to uncap my philosophies about the afterlife and God's sanctum here on this page. I am a Christian. I was born a Christian, and therefore so are my family members. All except my mother, who is Catholic, my family has the same religion. Throughout my life however, I want to find myself through my religion. I do not want to feel incorrect about a morality that is based off of a giant lie. I mean, in ancient egyptian times, before the crusades, many greeks were hypnotics about polytheistic gods and practiced ritualistic theatre while sacrificing goods and commerce. Ever heard of a saying 'Everyone wants to go to heaven but not everyone wants to die' theory? That was the living motto of the greeks. Including today's us. Do we really know as much as we do now?

Back to my claims. I do not want to stay Christian. I want to research the religions out there and find mine when my time is to come. Whether it be Hinduism or buddhaism or catholicism, I will akin to its sacredness. I do believe in monotheism and God, however it may not be for the right reasons which is what you guys are here for to rant about:D

Just curious, but do you thinks religions have reformed in a way? Do you think there's been a different form of christianity now then way back thousands of years ago? Have there been new practitioneers? (if that's even in the dictionary) Talk about it!

Jessica (jessicalcozzi) I sort of think that religion isn't the same anymore. I'm Catholic, but not in the Southern, Super Strict way. I think that religion isn't as important in society anymore. I mean, how many times do we pray or go to church? Not as often as people used to.

Exactly. I'm grateful actually that Christianity has evolved just slightly. Had Christians still been identical from past southern times, then we'd still show favoritism among ourselves (which i admit is still present today). Strict Christians in the olden days exiled and often punished Jews. But the idea of prophets doesn't mean that there was only one prophet sent by God. So that's why I think all religions are equal, and have shown a sum of equality towards our future generations. Although the negative slope of church members has followed due to the relative changes in religion. For example, I haven't gone to church in......well YEARS. However, those 5-some years haven't stopped me from carrying my Bible and reading it every so often.

Jessica (jessicalcozzi) I'm in my church's youth group, and my sister is in the choir, so I tend to go see her sing once a month. But I'm not a strict catholic. I'm friends with Muslims, Jews and Atheists. I didn't give anything up during lent (Nutella was just too good). I believe in gay marriage and I have bisexual friends. *shrugs* But I still believe in Jesus and God and everything.

That's how I perceive my relationship with God, though it seems to prelume from my mother because whenever I pray, it's with her and my sister. So I haven't done any one on one praying with my Lord but I haven't lost absence of Him also. I have at least two Atheist friends. I also have one Jewish friend, a Muslim friend, and lots of Catholics and Christians. I wonder if I'll meet any Hindus near my future:D

Jessica (jessicalcozzi) Yeah. Our faith tells us not to like them. But I do.
