I had no preconceived notions about this book when I picked it up - I knew it was by Gillian Flynn and that was it. Wow is my gut reaction. Again, like her other novels, this did not disappoint. Creepy, engaging, and twisted would be the words I would use to describe it. This book is not for the sensitive as it contains lots of teenage sex, drug use, foul language, and vulgar acts. These things are necessary elements to contribute to the stomach turning nature of the story. Once I clicked into the plot (which didn't take long at all), I finished this book in record time. I also found myself in a very foul and sad mood as this story is one full of extremely unlikeable characters. Try to plan a nice, happy or fluffy book after you finish to "cleanse" the pallet.
