What did you think?

Gone as in Michael Grant? If so that book is amazing. The series was one of my favorites (I'm so behind though and haven't read Fear yet).

I think I stopped at Plague but I'm dying to read the last two. I like how each book individually addresses specific issues that they face in The FAYZ instead of mashing several of them into one or two installments. It's very focused and engrossing. The last book that I enjoyed this much was probably The Knife of Never Letting Go. Kids growing up within the context of difficult environments. It was interesting how in Gone everybody either changed for the better or the worst or revealed they're true colors.For me it was a struggle to like Sam (especially not Quinn). The only person that I had any particular allegiance to was Edilio. Grant's characters are extremely flawed but in a good way. I LOVE IT!

The Gone series is really well written and always kept my interest. I need to re-read them though before I read any further, it's been so long.

I started Gone but quitted it was slightly boring at the time and to violent in my opinion but I think I might give it another shot in the future since so many people like it.

Brenda, I'll help you out here.

Strengths:
Fast-moving plot (I was attached from the beginning)
Character development is pretty good from what I remember.
Good descriptions, I can imagine what is going on easily.

Weaknesses:
Violence isn't necessarily a weakness unless it makes you uncomfortable.
When you start the next book of the series it kind of picks up slowly in my opinion.

I quite liked this book. I like the idea of no adults around, and just the kids... although I'd have been among the disappearances and wouldn't be able to have the experience of being alone... of course I would have my sister, but since I would have disappeared, she'd be alone instead... I'll definitely be reading the rest the series though, even though it's not among my absolute favourite books. I've started the second book, but I'm only on chapter two (been there for a while, but it's not because it's totally terrible, but because I got distracted with a bunch of other books that came in from the library), but it is kind of slow right now.

There is a few slow parts in the series but I enjoyed them. I'm waiting to get the last one so I can read it

I'm just about to start rereading this (before I start the last couple books!). I loved it the first time around, so hopefully I still do!!!

I need to reread it, too, because I don't really remember the plot. I got the remainder of the series for my birthday, so I'll probably be reading solely this series for a week or two.

Wow- that's awesome. I'll probably just be borrowing the books from my friends.
