Welcome to *NEW Goodreads Group* ~ Tolkien’s T.C.B.S.

The T.C.B.S (Tea Club and Barrovian Society), founded by JRR Tolkien, Geoffrey Bache Smith, Christopher Wiseman and Robert Gilson is for “those who would wander with friends in Middle-Earth”.
Incorporating Oxford’s ‘Tolkien Society’ and together with ‘The Inklings’ (including C.S Lewis), this group explores both Middle-Earth and a literary genius who changed history forever.

Within this Fellowship of Friends you will explore not only Tolkien’s works and the films by Peter Jackson, but you will be able to explore Middle-Earth like never before! So enjoy, and remember ~ that not all those who wander are lost!

As a moderator (Luthien) and friend of the fellowship, i wish her well on the quest across Middle-Earth.

As we begin the quest together across Middle earth, regroup the many rangers lying low... those of the line of Anárion and the House of Eorl...draw forth the dwarfs of the ancient lands of Arda, the elves from their hidden kingdoms of Doriath and call upon the courage of the halflings of the shire may we explore new territory of magic and delight and continue Tolkiens exploration of all that lies 'hidden', 'mysterious', full of 'magic' and the true state of brotherhood...... woohoo

Welcome back in 2018 to JRR Tolkien's TCBS group!



We shall be starting 2018 with a bang, by re-reading Tolkien's epic and iconic work 'the lord of the rings'.

I hope you enjoy reading his awesome book (or three!), and being a part of the group again.
