This book is a nightmare. The only thing it's good for is mocking it. It was so bad that while I was reading it, I couldn't remember the title. I literally have no idea what the plot was about. I'm pretty sure there wasn't one, though it was the type of book that needs one. My favorite part? The little kid falls of Temeraire and is hanging by a thread and the main character says completely calm; "Clap on there, son." What?. There was some sort of journey during it I think... but there was no ending.... My fault for starting with the second book.

I am sorry you dint like it but its actually a great series. If you start with the second book though you can expect to be confused as pretty much all the background info is covered in the first book.
