• Strangers will be ignored—which is actually ideal for some who want to keep a low profile. Nothing wrong with that but seriously, please say something about yourself and what kind of visual literature you love. The community will be a better place if we could be friends even in the virtual world.
2) LANGUAGE
• If you are more comfortable expressing yourself in Tagalog…then do so! No one will/should think less of you. Tsaka minsan, iba talaga pag sinabi sa Tagalog kesa sa Ingles diba. :)
3) RATED PG
• We want to keep this site as wholesome as possible because a lot of readers here in Goodreads are in their youth and we don't want to alienate them.
• Since the materials covered in this group are highly visual, discussing nudity, sex and other adult themes is strictly PROHIBITED.
• Profanity, bullying and comments meant to ridicule will not be tolerated.
Violation of such is subject to the following conditions:
1st offense: Warning
2nd offense: Kicked-out WITHOUT further warnings.
4) RAVE AND RANT
• Rave before ranting! When discussing something you've read, always cite the good side of it FIRST. If it's all bad—we don't want to hear it. There are tons of great reads out there so let's not waste our time lambasting materials that suck.
• If you want a new thread/topic (new book, author, event, etc.) to be discussed in the group, just let the moderator/s know in the "Suggestions" thread here:
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
5) PIRATES
• If you downloaded, copied, acquired the material you are reading through illegal means (if you didn't pay for it, it's usually illegal)—that's on your conscience. For as long as you don't encourage anyone to do the same. That means, NO posting of torrents, links, or exchanging books in public.
• Most of the authors that you read are also in Goodreads and it is an insult to them when you just pirate their work.
6) PEOPLE FIRST
• Love people above books. That's a rule not a suggestion. Respect each other's tastes. We're not here to show how cool our libraries are. We're here because we have an affinity for books and that common ground is something that fuels our passion to read even more.
• If fights can not be avoided, they will be settled in a hidden location ala Fight Club. You can kill each other there. We follow the same rules in Fight Club which you can read here: http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Fight_Cl.... :)
7) HAVE FUN
