Arliss (dastardlywhiplash) | 4 comments A very weird one: this book was originally published in Spanish, and I believe the author was an aristocrat of some sort. It follows the son of Satan on earth. I haven't read it, but I did have one scene described to me (spoiler tags to be safe): (view spoiler) My TA who was describing it said it was written to mock standard horror tropes with its over-the-top gritty and disgusting content. I'm guessing speculative fiction for the genre?

Thanks in advance!

James Branch Cabell had an entire series of books that match this basic trope. Perhaps one of his stories? And the heroes in many of them are Spanish and I believe aristocrats.
