Well, there's always the Topsy Turvy theme; take a given beastie or idea and turn it on it's ear. "What if angels were evil?" "What if humans had to feed on vampires?" "What if our dreams were the reality, and we're the figments of our own imaginations?"

I'm insane, I know. ;)

Mwahahaha, I write about evil angels >:) (supposed to be a devil face... doesn't look as good on the screen as it did in my head) Have you ever heard the one where what if you are a lonely creature living by itself, rejected by humanity and your reality is the world you created to feel better about yourself?

*Makes a big, wide-eyed, MLP-style sad face* But... you mean that's not what reality is? *runs off crying*

Someone needs to write a book about this. Perhaps that lonely creature is a zombie who as a human died young and now lives out what it wanted to do in life in a reality inside its head while the rest of the world rejects and imprisons it, trying to kill it when all it wants is to be accepted.
