"Paleface!" Coldstar called from the mouth of his den.

Twistedspirit padded from the warrior den.

coldstar glanced down but said nothing. (can't really do anything...)

Twistedspirit laid down near the entrance."Want to go on patrol?"

(um, to me?)

"How did the first patrol make out?"

"What did they come back with?"coldstar growled, his anger growing. ((g2g))

"I could hunt on my own for a while."Twistedspirit suggested.

"No." Coldstar growled. "If you were attacked, you could be killed, and we need you to hunt. Take another patrol out and see what you can find. Paleface, go with him, and take chesnutgze, shadowdrop, and nightstalker with you. If you can find all of them."

Twistedspirit gazed at the apprentice."If it were my choice;yes,but it's not."

"If you can add to the catch." Coldstar said.

Twistedspirit followed quickly.

Twistedspirit turned to go off on her own.She knew the perfect place to hunt.It wasn't long before she made her way to a small pond where the creek pooled.She quickly caught a thrush,two water voles,a rat,and a young rabbit.

twistedspirit looked up.'No,they'll kill you'.she mouthed.

"You can't take down a mother protecting her children." a shadowed form said from atop one of the sparse trees.

Twistedspirit looked up."That's what I'm saying Nightstalker."

Frostfeather gathered some catmint.

Twistedspirit watched the badgers closely.

"Could I hunt with them? I can catch up with them too. You know how good of a hunter I am." Blackbird asked Coldstar. "Can I please go with them?"

"don't come back until you've caught something."

Blackbird was in the dumps. "I really wished I could've have hunted with them." She mumbled.
