I want to read Eleanor and Park. I hear it's really good. I'm rereading The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (bc I just bought book 2!)

message 8: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Church (lindsaychurch) Maybe Eleanor will have to be our July book ;) Haha!

I LOVE when books give eerie goosebumps!
And I really want to read Unbecoming of Mara Dyer.

message 9: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Church (lindsaychurch) wait! I take it back. Eleanor won't be because someones read it. Well we'll have to just discuss it once we've all gotten around to it!

I attempted to start Eleanor and Park, but it simply wasn't for me. I went ahead and got the 5th Wave today! I also saw a video gushing about it so now I'm super excited to start it!

I might have to check this out. The cover is intriguing, but other than that I haven't really looked into this book.

Love Mara Dyer!!

I'm reading Eleanor and Park for a readalong, it's super cute so far, but it's not blowing me away like all the hype made me think it would.

message 16: by Angel, Bossy BFF (new)

Angel | 491 comments Mod
Also, that's how I'm reading so many at once ;)
Tremble is what I'm mainly reading, Eleanor and Park is so many chapters at a time for the readalong and I always have an audiobook for workout time! :D

I wish I had work out time... I usually get so into one thing in my day. And then POOF! 6 hours of my day are gone!

message 18: by Angel, Bossy BFF (new)

Angel | 491 comments Mod
I end up having to do it late in the evening. Some days are crazy and I don't have time, but I try to make time since I'm determined to get more in shape to keep up with my kid outside playing ;)
Some days with stuff all day and 2 sports and dinner in the evening it's hard to find time though!

I never thought of using audio for a workout. I used to hold a book while on the elliptical lol not easy, but then I started doing Zumba and there's just no way to dance and read at the same time unfortunately.

Exercise bike I read kindle sometimes, audio sometimes. Treadmill I listen to audio.
Zumba, obviously I'm all into the music. I only zumba 2 times a week though ;)

Lindsay Church (lindsaychurch) Ahhhh you guys have just inspired me. I keep making it a "goal" to get back into working out and get IN SHAPE finally because I really lost it there for awhile. But I make so many excuses! Now I will get on track! LOL!

Ps - I woke up super excited cause I had goodreads notifications from you guys! (It's only 9am here I didn't sleep til like 1pm LOL)

I'm really liking it so far, I have about 70 pages (and two more books) to go LOL. It's really interesting and I love the protagonist.

We had to write for 2 hours in my fiction writing class today so my hands are a lil stiff and I'm a little storied out so I think I might watch SYTYCD before I attempt to finish the book lol!

How is Dirty Little Secrets???

I am a little worried about it losing its steam for the next couple books. It could be a stand alone I think. But I like historical fiction and love this era (Infernal Devices anyone?!) So fingers crossed for me? :( AHHA

2 hours of handwriting? I'm not sure I could do it anymore. When I write I type unless I'm having writer's block. Pen and paper always seems to break it for me.

Sometimes I love the book. Other times I'm so annoyed at the protag that I want to strangle her. She just lets her parents dictate her life after working years to attain a goal. Honestly, if I was in her position I'd tell her parents to suck it. Do my own thing and not let them dictate my life.

I guess she's not super relatable to me.

I just finished Sweet Peril last week and really liked it. There's one scene with Kai towards the middle/end that had me swooning like crazy...

Is it cheaper to buy through TBD?

Also when you use TBD for a giveaway...the person getting the book won't see your credit card # on the receipt right?

message 44: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Church (lindsaychurch) It is cheaper to buy through Tbd!!!!! Considerably sometimes. But sometimes you just need the instant gratification of having a book as soon as you buy it! LOL

Ahhhh I want to read all those books! I just bought wither last week!!!

message 45: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Church (lindsaychurch) I don't think so... Maybe you can even mark it as a gift and then they'll get a gift receipt!?
