Has anyone read the maximum ride series? Saw today at target and I thought I saw someone a while go mention it in another forum saying it was good.

Yes, I love that series! The last book was a bit of a let down but the rest of the series was awesome! The main character, Max, is the most kick-ass girl character I've every read about. I'd definitely recommend that you read it.

I love maximum ride! It's one of my favorites! But I agree that the last one (nevermore) was a terrible letdown :(. Still a great series though!

I loved Maximum Ride. Yes, the last four books were not as good as the first four, but I still loved them.

I liked Maximum Ride until book 5. It's more like a travel log with rants about global warming and the occasional battle.

I'm the same way. When Fang and Max were together I really liked it, and then the new stuff (like Dylan) just really annoyed me

Nevermore was VERY disappointing ugh.

Huh...I haven't read it because I gave up after a while...why was it so terrible (but still no spoilers just in case)

Does anyone know where can I read the last book of the series?

Riya, the ending was just so disappointing. No spoilers but it isn't really clear what happened and who ended up with who and stuff like that.

I read the first book, still working on getting to the others. It was suggested to me based on my own book from an editor, and I liked it well enough. I need to work on collecting the others, but I would recommend.

The first book in the series actually made me cry when (view spoiler)[ we find out that Ari was Max's brother and she'd just killed him. (hide spoiler)] It was the first book since Harry Potter 7 that had made me cry.

Yes. Nevermore was sadly really disappointing for me.

It started off really really well but the last few books weren't so good. The characters are awesome and James Patterson has written it so I couldn't stop reading it. I got a little obsessed over the first book...

Yeah- I will finish the series but I haven't read the last few simply because I saw how it was going downhill and I was super worried :/

God I loved this series... but I would even go as far as to say only the first three books weren't a disappointment. I just feel like everything I loved about the series disappeared after the third book. But I loved Max even when the books got weird!

I loved this series but the last book was just impossible. I loved every book except for Nevermore because I just couldn't understand it. It was so forgettable and the other books were just so good!
