Actually I'm looking for suggestions also. Have you read Scott Westerfield's leviathan trilogy? I think it's classified as YA or maybe younger but I really liked it. Not in the same class as Philip Pullman but as he is in Tolkien's league that's not necessarily a criticism.Since I'm an adult I'm wondering if there are adult steam punk novels.
Well, if you're in the mood for some quick (and, I think, incredibly witty) reads, you should check out the Parasol Protectorate series (
) and Etiquette and Espionage (
). Both are YA novels, but highly entertaining.
There is Boneshaker
or
Nimbus: A Steampunk Novel, I myself was looking for Legenderry: A Steampunk Adventure
, I'm in the mood for a comic.
I wouldn't describe the Parasol Protectorate as YA, I think it's more adult, but I definitely second the recommendation. I loved the world she built. I haven't yet read E&E, but it's by the same author so I'm tempted.
It would be weird not to mention my own book. So here it is. Dr. Weaver and the world of empty glasses.Dr. Weaver
