So, I'll start us off! I'd recommend just about every book that's listed on the banner. (The ones I've read so far, anyway. XD)
In particular, I'd recommend Immortal City by Scott Speer. If you enjoy angel books, then you'll definitely like this one. It's a refreshingly different take on the genre. The second book came out just recently and I can't wait to get my hands on it!
I'd also recommend Rick Riordan's other series, The Kane Chronicles. It's similar to the Percy Jackson series in that is focuses on mythology - but in this series it's Egyptian mythology. Kinda awesome. XD
While it's not necessarily Young Adult fiction, I'd also recommend The Warrior Cat series by Erin Hunter. It's generally geared toward a younger audience, but I picked them up two years ago and immensely enjoyed them. They have surprisingly complex plots and, come on... they're kitties! ;D
Another one that I loved that isn't quite YA is The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I actually saw the movie first, then read the book. And while most movies are worse than the book, I really enjoyed both of them. It's a really sweet story to check out if you enjoy books set during the Civil Rights era.
And there's a ton more I could list, but I'll give it a rest for now. :P

I'll recommend 1. Lux series
2. Fallen series by Lauren Kate
3. TMI and TID (if you haven't read em still ;) )
4. Existence by Abby Glines
4. Revenant series by Amy Plum
6. Hush, Hush
7. A shade of vampire by Bella Forrest
8. Covenant series by JLA
9. Iron Fey
10. VA
11. Divergent
12. Under the never sky
13. Soul Screamers
14. Wolves of Mercy Falls (I found it introspective)
Many more are there but for now I'm leaving it here lol:D
Lol, I've been wanting to read SO many of those. I've heard a lot about the Lux series, so I hope to get to that soon. And I just finished TMI, like, yesterday, so I'll have to move to TID soon. :D I hope to read Iron Fey and Wolves of Mercy Falls soon, for the banner challenge too. Glad to know they'll be good!
I didn't like TID much more than TMI. I felt there wasn't anything serious going on exactly. But somehow I finished the series cuz of Will :D and I liked the last two books more than the first one. And CP2 was the best one :)
Yeah, it seems like everyone seems to love TID more than TMI. I don't really understand why, but I guess I'm in no position to judge, seeing as I haven't read them yet. I hope to get the first one from the library soon. But I have a pile of books at the foot of my bed I borrowed and still need to read. XD I'm a sucker for Amish Fiction, so I'll be finishing up a couple of those before I move on to the something else. I'm trying to decide if I want to read TID so soon after TMI, since I won't get any more of the series until next year. I might need something to curb my appetite before City of Heavenly Fire comes out, lol.
I absolutely adored Revel. It's not that popular, but I recommend it to everyone... I wasn't expecting it to be that good!
Ooh, I've been wanting to read that one. It's been up for giveaway a couple of times, but I didn't win it. :/ Guess I'll have to see if the library has it.

I have a book by Ellen Hopkins. My friend recommended it to me too. If you love poetry, you'll definitely like it.
I agree with Beatrice. Ellen Hopkins books are very gritty, but they are so good. I've read eight of her books and not one of them disappointed me.
Taylor wrote: "hmm is it like hard core iambic pentameter ;) poetry? or is it more like "hey technically its poetry, but you can read it like a normal book...""It's not as deep as Shakespeare. You can read it like a normal book. :)
Identical is really, really interesting. It's one of those books where you try to figure out what is wrong with the characters from the very beginning because you just know there's a huge twist. Sorta like a mystery in that sense. I really enjoyed that book.
The Night Circus, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and Graceling have been on my to-read list forever. Glad to know they're good!
It seems like John Green just kinda... Came out of nowhere. Like a rocket. One day he's nowhere, the next everyone is talking about him! Lol. I have The Fault in Our Stars on my to-read list already, but it looks like I'll have to add his other one, too! ;D
John Green's popularity sure boosted with TFIOS, but he was one of my favorite authors even before that point.
are all great and interesting. (Paper Towns is just plain awesome. Something about that book just made me love it.)
I didn't like Looking for Alaska that much. regardless I've read the Fault in Our Stars first, but it teaches a good life lesson.
Alicia B wrote: "The Sea of Tranquility! Anyone read it?" I actually just finished it yesterday! It was really good and I marked it as a favorite! It has good ratings too

Carly wrote: "Reason to Breathe! I loved that book, heard of it?"Yep. I heard a lot of good things about it. It's still on my TBR list
I do. But what's your idea of realistic fiction? Sometimes that may mean different things for different people.
I've been wanting to read Etiquette & Espionage, but since its steampunky, I don't know if you'd consider is realistic...
Shrishti~Music~Psyche wrote: "Um, does anyone read realistic fiction here?"I think I've read one realistic fiction.. and that is
I consider those books revolving around capital "I" Issues as realistic fiction because they focus on a lot of issues that many people can relate to. So, with my own definition, I've read a lot of realistic fiction.
Shrishti~Music~Psyche wrote: "Um, does anyone read realistic fiction here?"I do!!! It's my favorite genre. I LOVED
(it's ALMOST realistic but it is sooo emotional and heartbreaking that I can't even explain how I feel about it because it's just so good) and
I'm currently reading it. It's a Vampire Dystopian. Most ppl don't know about it . I found it amazing . It's Darkness before Dawn trilogy by J.A. London . Check it out!!
I LOVED The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, I thought is was cute and an amazing read. I would recommend it to anyone.
Carly wrote: "Reason to Breathe! I loved that book, heard of it?"Yes!! Loved that book!!! It's definitely for readers who love angst.

"Good Lord, that book. I cried for half an hour. Still amazing, though. :)
I recommend Awakening by Karice Bolton!!! I happened to run across it and was adddicted from the beginning. Ana and Athen are indeed soulmates! :)
