Hi All! As of yesterday, Summer Reading is upon us. If you haven't already done so, please register for Summer Reading by contacting the reference desk or signing up online at http://summer.gepl.org/. If you sign up, you get a chocolate bar!! Totally worth it!!!

What's first on your Summer Reading list? Mine is The City and The City by China Mieville. I'm reading it on my new Kobo. :)

I'm reading Tubes: Journey to the Center of the Internet by Andrew Blum. It's quite interesting so far.

I'm going back to finish reading all of Ken Follett's non-spy novels. Just loving them. World without End, here I come.

I have 30 pages left of my current book and need a good audiobook suggestion for a road trip this weekend! Help!

Debbie | 1 comments I'm reading Overdrive's Big Library Read e-book selection, The Four Corners of the Sky. It's fast paced, intriguing with likable characters.

Eileen (Eileenh200) | 3 comments I'm reading the controversial The Woman Upstairs. Some people think a main character has to be likeable, but I don't.

Unbroken, David Sedaris's Christmas story, The Warmth of Other Suns, This Book is Overdue! Have a nice trip.

I'm waiting for "The Black Country" by Alex Grecian to come out! It's the follow-up to "The Yard", an exceptionally good mystery about Scotland Yard set in Victorian London.

I still haven't read them. I'll have to put them on my list!

I've been LOVING The City & The City! Bummer that the Kobo I was reading it on pooped out mid-book. The screen cracked and the e-ink sort of...fragmented the page. And we only had it for 3 weeks! Hopefully the store will replace it.

Ah well....back to the old printed version. :)

Sue (suemontgomery) | 1 comments I've just started reading Wave and can't put it down. Sonali Deraniyagala's riveting memoir describes the aftermath of her life since her husband and two young sons were swept away by the Christmastime Tsunami that hit Sri Lanka’s southern coast while they were all on vacation.

Also I'm looking forward to reading "Looking for me" by Beth Hoffman because I loved her book "Saving CeeCee Honeycutt".
