A Demigod's Journey discussion

This is the place where campers sing songs around a beautiful camp fire that grows stronger as the voices around it do.

Aaliyah sat by the little campfire, her head in between her knees. Today had been tough, and she had worked herself into the ground with training. It was starting to become lonely at Camp Half-Blood, and she missed having friends. The only person she ever talked to now was a bay pegasus called Dante.

Sena walked into the amphitheatre and looked around. He sat down on a log bench next to a girl who closed her eyes. "Hey there!"he half-yelled.

"I'm Sena. And you are?" he asked, a little bit quieter.

Aaliyah's head whipped up when something close to her ear screamed. "Scream again like that in my ear, and I will slice your tongue from your mouth. Do you hear me?" She snarled, her ears still ringing from his earlier shout. The boy looked frightened as she pointed a finger at him threateningly.

Kal walked to the Amphitheatre and saw three people sitting around, 'lucky guess coming here, I was getting bored of being alone.' He spoke out loud, he didn't care what other people thought of him and always said what was on his mind, it was pretty easy being liked, at least in Greece with the humans.

Lowering her finger, Aaliyah glanced at the new boy. He seemed okay, but she wasn't too eager to trust any of these demi-gods. She turned back to the fire and noticed it had gotten slightly bigger since all the new kids joined. Lia raised her hands to the warmth, rubbing them together.

Sena raised his hands up in defence. "I'm always like that. You can't blame me!" He said to Aaliyah.

Kal sat down next to a girl who had her head between her knees and was looking awfully sad. He felt empathy for her... sadness was for depressed immortals and defiantly not for goddesses, even if they were only half one. "You sad, little missy?' he asked with a little bit of his Greek ascent.

"Yes well when you have heightened senses in everything, especially hearing, its like having a freaking bomb go off in your ear!" Aaliyah exclaimed, then drooped her head in defeat. Off in the distance, she could hear Dante neighing softly.

"Don't call me that." She said sharply to the boy and scooted away from him. Aaliyah's auburn hair floated down her back, and was drifting with the slight breeze.

Kal laughed at the girl's mini fit and then fell defeated. "Don't get your knickers in a knott," he grinned miraculousl. "I can fix that.... I can make you have fun and experience wonderful things and be happy until the sunrises...and no it's probably not what you are thinking,"he smirked at his own joke. "See I can change peoples mood"

Sena smiled his "special" smile at Alia

"Uh?" Sena mutters. He scoots closer

"Well please don't do it to me. I'd rather wallow in my own misery thank you very much." She said and let her knees drop to her sides. Aaliyah noticed the other girl scoot closer to screaming-boy and bat her long eyelashes. It took all of her willpower not to snort and laugh at the little flirtatious move.

Sena awkwardly stays as he is. "Hey... You cold?" He asks

Kal: "I am confused.... what's goin' on between em'?" he said pointing between the flirting teenagers who sat near him around the camp fire.

"Obviously failing at flirting with each other, that's what." Lia giggled and turned to Kal. "Sorry for my behaviour earlier, I come off a little strong..." She trailed off, feeling a bit guilty about her earlier words.

"No i don't 'ink you need my powers to help you, the couple over there are hilari'ous." He laughed inwardly. "I didn't make that happen."

"Uh.." Sena mutters awkwardly. He cleverly conseals the fact that he is not really attracted to the girl but just SLIGHTLY attracted. "Hang on" he says. He controls the surrounding temperature around them and makes it warmer.

"Who wants mushrooms...?" Everyone seemed either sad or socially awkward and Kal just had to had to suggest it.

Lia raises an eyebrow at Kal's awkward behaviour but doesn't say anything.

"Me!" Sena yells, back to his yelling usual self.

Lia hissed as the pain rung through her ears once again. "Can you please lower your voice?" She asked through gritted teeth, pressing her enclosed hands against her ears.

"hahahaha you sure princesses?" he said referring to the girls. "Don't want any?"

"No thanks." Aaliyah said, still trying to rid her ears of the pain screaming-boy had caused.

"sure Alia," he said smirking. Realizing Lia was in pain he spoke a little quieter to Sena. "Maybe later dude."

Sena slowly fades into the background. "Don't mind me, I'm just a son of Hephaestus doing nothing." He jokes

"Sena tell me oo' parents are gods of?" Kal asked.

"Wow Alia... I'm never dying!" He yells softly. Very softly. Verryyy softlyyy... He fades into the background but starts to light his hand on fire, then extinguishes it and lights it on again repeatedly.

"I am the only daughter of Artemis- unless she breaks her sacred promise, which will never happen, I will always be the only child." Lia mused, forgetting she was speaking out loud.

"Why are you laughing Alia? I said nothing funny and I defiantly aren't funny looking." Kal pulled out a small comb from his front pocket and started grooming his golden hair."That's for sure" and after putting away his comb he got out a hand-sized mirror from the same pocket and admired himself.

Sena continues to play with fire.

"Yes... unfortunately." Aaliyah said softly, and grimaced disapprovingly at Kal's vainness. It was an unattractive quality, even for someone who was so handsome.

"All I know is, one day I accidentaly set fire to my "school" (putting air quotes using hands) and then I'm kicked out of school. Mom died years ago, when I was trying to survive, out of nowhere this crazy looking satyr grabs my arm and drags me here" Sena said with a slightly exasperated tone.

"No, I would hate it! I love my sister very very much!" he said with enthusiasm. ((making her right now))

"I came here unwilling to Sena... I miss my home." Kal said with sadness but then resumed his cheerful grin.

((I have to go now- seeya!))

"You should've seen the satyr. He was like 'no shouting or hanky-panky. Just be silent and follow me. Hey! That rhymes!' He yelled that at me the entire time until we got to the camp." Sena took a breath after his long speech.

Kal listened to his long speech with a thoughtful expression and frowned as though he was working something out.
The camp was silent waiting for him to talk.
"That doesn't rhyme..." was all he commented on the speech.

"That's what I thought to the satyr but hey! He continued to say rhymes anyway." He muttered.

"He is stuuuuuupid!" Kal said, leaning back and crossing his arms behind his head.

"I guess so.. So anyways, I thumped the satyr on the head and ran all the way here to avoid him. Along the way here, a hammer shone over my head." He muttered on.

"And then what happened?" kal asked eagerly

"And.." Sena trailed off as the satyr appeared. Sena ran behind Kal. "You wouldn't dare hit a demigod would ya?" He asked to the satyr. The satyr just grinned and walked away. "Phew.. I thought I was going to die!" Sena yelled.

"what just happened?" kal asked with a confused look.

"Crazy satyr tried to kill me" Sena laughed.

"oh hahaha no biggy" he said sarcastically. "So so you like that girl Alia?"

"Not much.. I think of her as a friend.." Sena mutters quietly, awkwardly.
