I didn't realize it had that many chapters.

They can't be very long. The book is less than 400 pages.

For some reason my copy says 981 pages. So 9 chapters/day?

FYI...I'm going to be reading The Scarlet Letter this summer for a class if either of you want to read with me. Download is free for Kindle.

I also got my hands on Cinder finally, so whenever you want to read that one, Leigh.

This is an interesting read. Who is experimenting on Mitchell, his family and Eden? How do they not know? What is the point of the experiment? Did I read wrong but did it say they were wanting Mitchell to impregnate Shelly, his sister? If so that is very disturbing.

I think they were looking for another Hyde to impregnate her and were saying it was hard to find unrelated ones?

Interesting so far. Different concept from the usual. You don't see many books trying to pull off the J&H story.

I went to my mom's this weekend and left my Kindle there...ugh. So I'm reading off my iPod, which is doable but a bit annoying. Small screen, bright background. Luckily, my parents are coming up this weekend for my daughter's graduation so they will bring it with - otherwise I would have made her mail it!!

I would be able to make it without my iPad!

Jolie and Carter are working together to drug Mitchell and Eden for The Clinic. I still don't get why they are making Hydes?

Up through chapter 18-
I like this book so far. I like Eden. She is the good girl type without being overly sweet or innocently stupid. I LOVE Mitch and Carter together. Their testosterone-laden discussions are fun.

So...I'm under the impression that Carter thinks he is doing Eden a favor by giving her the 'medicine.' I wonder what The Clinic (or whoever) told him the reasoning was that she couldn't know about it. He might end up being not such a good guy - or at least she is going to end up hating him. But he doesn't really seem to know much about what is going on. And Jolie - working both sides?

I am really enjoying this book. Carter does think he is helping Eden. Jolie is one twisted woman. Why is Eden having flashbacks? Was she there when Shelly and the other girl died? Eden is sweet but with a backbone. Mitch is a jerk to protect himself.

I think Hydes are drawn to each other.

Up through chapter 28, and I like it enough that I do want to read the second book. Do you guys want to read it right away or read The Goddess Test first?

Yeah, that was never explained in the book. Hopefully we will find out in book two?

The book is 20 chapters, so 4 a day? It is shorter than some of the others we have read - just under 300 pages - so we could do 5 chapters a day and be finished sooner.

Five chapters works or me.

Just started the book. I must say i've gotten into the habit of reading the first 10-15 pages of a book and knowing instantly if i'd like it or not. This start off very good for me. The first chapter was lol poor Mitch, sleepwalking..now thats an excuse lol.

It gets so much better. I am loving this book!

I kinda dig Chastity. Hyde also seems to be sexual, but more violent. Why the difference?

Jolie is a psychopath definately....I know Hyde and Chasity are messed up, but hey their's a condition, but Jolie...yea that "woman" is crazy C.R.A.Z.Y.

At first, I felt sorry for Carter but then I found out he was helping Jolie. Jolie was very good at playing people. She was one twisted bitch! I feel sorry for both Mitch and Eden. They were both manipulated by the people they trusted the most.

Damn, Jolie is truly a monster, Hyde and Chasity aint got shit on that woman, I feel super bad for Carter atm, he wanted to come clean, but that damn Jolie...almost finished, will come back later with final thoughts.
