This is where you can ask for suggestions about books, or tell someone that THEY ABSOLUTELY MUST READ THIS BOOK BECAUSE IT'S JUST SO AMAZING THAT YOUR ENTHUSIASM IS GOING TO BREAK YOUR KEYBOARD AS YOU TRY TO TYPE ALL OF THAT WITHOUT EXPLODING!!!!!!!!!!!

Or the like :{D

Tanya:

It does get a lot more interesting. I'm not sure what edition you have, but in mine it gets really good about 1/2 way through. You kind of just have to power through the first part in order for it to get good.

I really love A Wrinkle in Time, but it's a bit confusing, and the beginning is not too spectacular.
A Christmas Carol is definitely the easiest Dickens book, although it's confusing. On this particular book (and you will NEVER hear me say this about any other book), I would suggest seeing the movie first. My favorite is the Mickey Mouse version, then the new Jim Carrey animated version, then the Muppet version. It's also a fairly short book with plenty of action, good pacing.
I would not recommend reading Moby Dick unless you read an abridged version. I honestly cannot remember anything but the first line, which is the only reason I read the book: "Call me Ishmael."
Edgar Allan Poe is great, but his stories are very short. Many are poetic-y stories that can barely count as prose, but seriously, "The Raven" is a good, scary poem.

I forgot to mention a couple: The Chronicles of Narnia, which have since been made into movies (I think), any Agatha Christie mysteries, any Shakespeare plays (make sure it has the modern translation though), and I've been told Wuthering Heights is very good, although I stubbornly refuse to read it for reasons unknown, even by myself.

Easiest: A Wrinkle In Time, A Christmas Carol, or an Agatha Christie

That probably made it worse :{D
