Tori marched in, biting her lip and looking angry. She stormed to one of the seats and sat down, hard, showing her fake anger. Everyone-or at least, most human companions-knew that she wasn't capable of feeling anything and she just wanted to make a show to tell others something didn't go her way.
Grayson slowly entered the room, calmly and stoically like always. His demeanour expressed hostility, but it was just a warning signal that he was in a bad mood today.
Brielle was already sitting, her feet up on the elliptical table, chewing her fingernails like nobody's business. General Sully entered the room, her greying hair in a perfect bun and posture as uptight as ever.

Tori slammed her palm down onto the table and yelled out one of her statements she always yelled on mission assignments, "Why in the world do I have to be reserve? Again?!" She glared at General Sully with her cold and expressionless eyes. It had been years already and everyone had gotten used to this tantrum but she didn't give up trying.
"Tori, you are not as capable of this mission as the others are. The whole purpose of Enigma is to give them the job of handling their own kind." She stated coldly, placing her hand on Tori's shoulder. The gesture went as soon as it came. Brielle admitted, she was not pleased when Sully said 'their kind' but it was worth it to see the fuming look on Tori's face.
The two of them have hated each other from day one, starting with Bri's casual pranks. Grayson just sat there, an eyebrow raised at the girl's outburst.

"Urgh," Tori groaned and put her forehead down onto the table, "seriously?" She lifted her head up again and looked more relaxed. "Sylvia Beaumont. What's her business and-Why are you looking at me like that?" she snapped at Grayson and Brielle.
"Maybe because you look completely idiotic at the moment?" Brielle's face broke into a cheeky grin, casting it at Tori. Grayson didn't say anything, stoically crossing his arms over his chest.
"Enough. Brielle, you are already in too much trouble as it is. Don't make us do something you will regret." General Sully commanded, the hint lying in her words. Brielle immediately shut her mouth, thinking back to the machines that were the only things supporting her life. When everyone was silent, Sully moved on.
"Sylvia Beaumont - her father is currently number 4 on the most wanted list. Her abilities mainly consist of water control. At the moment, she is trying to drown out most of Manhattan." Getting a little remote, the general flicked through some horrifying photos of screaming people being chased by waves as big as a 5 story building.

"Okay," Tori said, bored. "So we need some fire-freak to burn her butt. What does Miss Brielle have to actually support that?" She glared at Brielle, although her eyes left no hint.
Brielle shot a glare at Tori behind Sully's back then completely ignored her, raising her head. "We probably need someone who can evaporate water- Grayson can do that with wind and lightning, right?" She asked Gray hesitantly. Grayson nodded, running a hand through his thick mop of hair. General Sully nodded, scribbling something down on some paper.
"And Brielle is totally useless. Kick her out," Tori said coldly, a smile inching up her hard and stony face. "I mean, even Amaryllis is more use. Amaryllis can fly over the wave and get to Sylvia no problem."
"Hush Tori. Brielle protects innocent people. Respect please." General Sully chastised, and gave her a cold look. "Amaryllis will be joining us on this mission, and so will Brielle so you two will just have to get over yourselves. Dismissed." She waved her hand and returned to a seat, looking over certain papers. Brielle immediately left her seat, and darted out of the room. She needed to let out some frustration, and she knew just the place to do that.
Grayson rose, and walked out of the room with his hands in his pockets. Halting at the doorway, he turned to face Tori. "We have bigger enemies out there." He stated clearly, as if a bit of a warning. Grayson had seen his father in action before his abilities, and was scared even then. Nothing scared Grayson, except for his father.

Tori rolled her eyes at Grayson's statement and left the mission room. She wanted to see exactly what Brielle was up to. And besides, what was there to fear about Grayson? He was just like all the other Mutants. Ahead of themselves. Just like Brielle.
Brielle jogged to the gym, pulling out her ear phones and iPod. Starting up some music, she pulled on a pair of boxing gloves and rolled her shoulders. Whenever she was pissed, depressed or downright homesick, she would come here and work her butt off until all she felt was physical pain. Brielle imagined the huge sandbag was Tori's face and started punching maniacally. After many years of training, Brielle had unbelievable amounts of strength, and the bag went flying as her fist connected with it.
