Laya sat on a bench in the park.

Mariah was passing by.
She was new in this town so she said hi to the girl on the bench.
"Hi! I'm Mariah Teastone. I'm new in this town would you mind showing me around?"

She grinned. "OK, yeah, sure. I'm Laya." She got up. "Small town, so it's fairly easy."

"Thank you Laya. I really apreciate it."said mariah

"No problem."

"Can you show me where the school is first?"

"Yeah." She led the way.

It took no less than 5 minutes to reach the school.
"Thank you. By the way do you go to this school?"Mariah asked her then continued,"I am going to."

She nodded. "Yeah. It's the only school in town people our age go to."

"Oh.Sorry I didn't know."she said

"It's fine. I was just telling you."

"Can I be friends with you? I don't know anyone in this town yet accept for you"

"Of course! It's always nice to have a friend."

Sammi was wandering the streets. Her pink dress fluttered behind her as she made her way home. She was born in this small town and knew it well.

Mariah was walking with laya to show her, her house when she bumped into somebody,"Oh im so sorry.Are you OK?"she said apologeticly

"Perfectly" said Sammi smiling. "what's your name?"

"Mariah, and you?"

"Samantha, but I go by Sammi."

"well hello sammi."

"Hi Mariah." Sammi grinned.

"so have you met laya?"

"In passing, How are you Laya?"

She shrugged. "Fine."

"Thats good."

She shrugged again.

Sammi glanced at her watch. "Would you guys like to come over to my house? You're welcome to come."

"Sure!"said mariah

She led the way. The wind caught her dress and made it flutter behind her.

"OK."

She got to her house and she opened the door for them.

Laya stuck her thumbs in her jean pockets.

"cool!"

Sammi led them to her room. It was a normal girly room with lots of pink.

Laya raised an eyebrow. "Wow... very... pink."

"Yeah....I havent ever gotten around to repainting it"

She nodded.

mariah looked around amazed that someone else was more obsessed with the color pink than she was

She sat down on the bed.
