You wanna come to Kate's house? Someone have a weekend in mind? Not May 3rd or 10th?
That sounds great, Kate, but let's see what other people have to say. It would be tres convenient for me!
If people are interested in meeting in a non-house situation, I am very interested in those Angel's Thai spring rolls that someone said were good... is that a place that would be open to 'meetings'?
I'm throwing out ideas, am not invested in it being at my house. Jackie, it MIGHT be fun.

Not sure that Angel's would be an ideal place to have a book club meeting, but they do some catering, so maybe a few of us could pitch in for a big order of spring rolls...

Ooh, forgot about Sasquatch. Weekday evenings are all terrible for me with the exception of Friday nights, which aren't too bad. I get off work at 7pm Monday through Thursday night, and at that point I just want to go home and chill.
Anyhow, what about the following weekend- May 30?

I agree that the 23rd is bad. It's a holiday weekend. The 30th probably works for me but I think I'll back out on the offer of my house. Don't know that far ahead what's up with me.

SWINE FLU! Oy, the drama! How about the 30th at Swing? We haven't been there in a while, and I've been thinking about those wine flights they have...
I'll leave this a day or two and then make an executive decision if nobody cares.

Okay, it's a plan. Do you want to go for 6 or 6:30? I think they have music most Saturday nights, and I'm not sure exactly when that starts. Happy Hour ends at 6, so people that wanted to take advantage of that could get there a little earlier if we went for 6pm...
This sounds good to me. 6-ish at this place that will be new to me.
Hi All, are we meeting that last weekend in May , 6-ish, at Swing, that place I've never been but look forward to? That's the place up on the hill?
Yep Kate! Swing Wine Bar, Saturday May 30th, 6pm or a little earlier if you want to take advantage of happy hour. If you scroll down a bit on the main "Oly Reads" page, you'll see an event listed with the address and everything. You can even RSVP if you're so inclined. Swing is in a little red house up on the hill behind Washington Mutual Bank.
Just a reminder- book talkin' this Saturday at Swing! We'll be upstairs because they have a big group who booked the entire downstairs. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can sit outside... the report is positive so far. See you there!
Hi Everyone who will be at the Swing, has anyone read World War Z and have a copy to lend out? My other book group is reading that book and there seems to be only one book in the library and 20 holds (as of a few days ago, anyway). If you do and will, I will be at the talkin' on Saturday.
Hi Kelsey, I haven't actually read it, was hoping to find someone who might lend it to me to read. (Sorry for being unclear.)
Don't have WWZ (although I am on the hold list), but I noticed TRL does have an ebook version - so when desperate...
And, I can't hardly wait!;)

I know, so sad! RIP, Clubside. Have a good time, Alex, and we'll see you next time. You can always call my cell to see if we're still there when you finish...
PS- where's the chess club going to meet now?

Kate, there's only 3 requests on the large print version- just read with your legs extended and the book propped up against your toes, it works great!
Thanks for the tip Kelsey, I put a hold on the Large Print edition. I think Timberland changed the catalog view lately and only shows a tiny portion of the holdings with an even tinier link to further info so I didn't see the further copies stuff.

We'll catch you next time, Rachael and Sheri! It was a nice, small group with two new folks. I'll post the list of books later on today, when my foggy slightly hungover brain clears.
So, I totally spaced posting the books from the last book group which was at least three weeks ago. Please accept my apologies. General info: we met at Swing and got a nice cozy table near the patio. We had two new folks with us- Brian and Elaine, who will hopefully be joining us again. It was a smallish group- maybe 8 of us total?
