Saga, Vol. 1 by Brian K. Vaughan

Has anyone read this? I made a review which is quite short so here it is:

One of those novels that seeks to shock readers with its "graphic" art. Think red light district of Total Recall and Blade Runner. The storyline is humorous and action-packed. Characterizations are well presented. I'm interested to see what happens next...but not interested enough to actually spend for it. :)

Read any graphic novels by publishers other than Marvel and DC? Post them here. :)

I just finished Mark Millar's Nemesis which is about a twisted superhero-like terrorist—they're calling him a rich and bored Batman.

Nemesis by Mark Millar

I hear they're making this into a movie...which is great. The plot...the scenes...the dialogue...it's all very cinematic.

What was your last read? :)

Steve Magay | 2 comments I read that just last month. Didn't really like it, got used to Millar's outstanding stories. It's just a simple twist of Millar, "What if the Joker is Batman?".

It's just an eye candy. Artwork is exceptional though, McNiven is the man!

Yeah I heard it's going to be a movie, it would be good to watch but gotta expect there's not much story in it.

Have you read Old Man Logan? Now that's a nice team-up for Mcniven and Millar, it's the perfect comicbook.

Agree! It's pretty shallow. Now that I think about it, I'm wondering why I gave it 5 stars. I think, due to stress, I was enjoying the violence at that time. Haha.

Ganda nga ng visuals. Especially the ones where the backgrounds were plain or just filled with lines (I forgot the technical term for this) to emphasize the action sequences.

Old Man and Logan, sige. Will check it out. Thanks.
