Deborah Bussey (dlplummer) | 23 comments I am seeking recommendations for new authors to promote through Authors in the House Events. Please suggest authors with great, compelling stories who also would be good in front of a live audience who could pitch their novel. For more information please visit www.authorsinthehouse.com We are currently reading and reviewing books for the inaugural event. Thanks so much!

K.A. Krisko (kakrisko) It sounds like a lot of fun, but it looks like it might require Skype or video-conferencing ability?

Deborah Bussey (dlplummer) | 23 comments Actually we have partnered with a bookstore and will consider funding authors to come to Boston area to present. It is kind of American Idol meets The Moth Radio Hour or Story Slam...we are creating a live bookstore. I am very excited about it. Thanks for the suggestions and support!

K.A. Krisko (kakrisko) I see - and you're planning on having more in other areas if this one goes off well?

Amanda is a dear friend of mine. I've recently been picked up by a publisher so my work is temporarily off the shelves while we re-edit and bring it out of the indie market. I believe you can still get previews on Amazon with the paperback copies that are left over. I'll have to check with my publisher but I may be able to shoot you a free pdf version if you are interested.

BTW Amanda M. Lyons is an amazing author herself. You may really enjoy her debut, Eyes Like Blue Fire.

I'd like to know more about this process myself as I will be taking my book off the market to relaunch it. It's on amazon and everywhere. I hate the idea of it being in limbo.

Sounds wonderful. My book from a very small press won't be out until later in the summer. So no reviews yet. Where are these events held.

Thanks, and maybe we can hook up in a couple of months.

Margaret Lukas | 7 comments Ignore my question. The answer is there in the other posts. I was so excited about the concept, I responded before reading everything.

Sorry.

I hope this is so successful, and I'm sure it will be. Margie
