Robert Westall. He's an old one from my childhood. Come to think of it, Futuretrack 5 is one of the best dystopian books I've read. It might be out of print now, but I remember it was awesome.

Have you read
? I haven't yet, but I was wondering if that was considered dystopian or not.

I have not but it is definitely on my TBR list and I would classify it as dystopia (:

They're fantasy, not dystopic, but I love them. I like the wild mage series that starts with Wild Magic and the protector of the small series that starts with First Test best.

I'll be sure to look for some of the wild mage series.
From all the YA books I've read I really loved the Hunger Games, so I will go with Suzanne Collins.

I'm not sure if it was the first book of the kind that I read and that is why I like it to so much, but I went almost crazy waiting for the second and third part to arrive by post (it was holidays and shame on Royal Mail, they don't work on bank holidays, How will I get my mail!!)

Its had to say who my favorite YA Author is really. Ive bounced around from genres so much. my favorites would have to be, Rachel Caine, C.C. Hunter, Sarah Dessen, Reachel Mead, Veronica Roth, Jay Asher, and Amelia Atwater-Rhodes.
Absolutely has to be Cassandra Clare, she writes in a way that makes you fall in love with every single character, even ones you hate. I adore her books, can't wait for the next one!
