Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) Who is your favorite YA author?

message 2: by Chris (new)

Chris Ward (chriswardfictionwriter) | 77 comments Robert Westall. He's an old one from my childhood. Come to think of it, Futuretrack 5 is one of the best dystopian books I've read. It might be out of print now, but I remember it was awesome.

I haven't read Wither yet, but I'd love to. I did purchase a copy, but not sure if I gave it to my niece.

Have you read Dearly, Departed (Gone With the Respiration, #1) by Lia Habel ? I haven't yet, but I was wondering if that was considered dystopian or not.

Ugh, I loved itttt (: I totally couldn't stop reading it.

I have not but it is definitely on my TBR list and I would classify it as dystopia (:

Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) Cassandra Clare

I haven't read anything by Tamora Pierce yet. Which book do you recommend starting with?

message 10: by Clackamas (new)

Clackamas | 11 comments They're fantasy, not dystopic, but I love them. I like the wild mage series that starts with Wild Magic and the protector of the small series that starts with First Test best.

Thanks, I often see some Tamora Pierce books at used book sales. I'll be sure to look for some of the wild mage series.

From all the YA books I've read I really loved the Hunger Games, so I will go with Suzanne Collins.

I'm not sure if it was the first book of the kind that I read and that is why I like it to so much, but I went almost crazy waiting for the second and third part to arrive by post (it was holidays and shame on Royal Mail, they don't work on bank holidays, How will I get my mail!!)
