Okay, ladies!! Lets see where we're at for June's reading!

Who has gotten a hold of their copy of River's Edge, and who still needs theirs?

I'm so excited to talk about this book, I'm not sure I can wait till June!!! Anyone feeling me?! .... Bueller?..... Bueller?... Bueller?.... LOL

I'm a little over half way in A River's Edge. I'm excited to finally discuss a book together as a group!

I am more than half way through River's Edge. I got it from the Rockton Library, when I knew it was there. I'm enjoying it very much. It is making me think of things in my own life.

Is the discussion set to start on a certain day?

I also couldn't wait until June to start, so I am about half way through it. I have the kindle version. So far I think it's great!

Well you are all way ahead of me - I haven't received my copy from the library yet....

I'm now almost done with the book. Couldn't wait. I will probably finish today. We could push the discussion date to the middle of June if everyone gets done in time.

Confession: I stayed up last night till 2:00am reading River's Edge!! I couldn't put it down!! I'm a little over halfway through the book, and can't wait to start discussing!!! OMGoodness, I was even crying, no balling!! Seriously! Lol

I was hoping we could start the discussion soon, but my copy hasn't even arrived yet :(

I looked for the book at Costco today - no such luck...

I requested a copy from interlibrary loan, but it hasn't yet arrived. I hope it will come soon!

Amazon.com has the book. There were some inexpensive paper back books, and the Kindle version was 8 dollars +. They deliver pretty fast. I would have bought the Kindle version, if I hadn't found a library that had one.

My book arrived! Now, how quickly can I read it? I was thinking we would start discussing it on the first.

Well, I must say it was a faster read than I thought... As the book went on, I found myself not being able to put it down.... I think you'll love it! I did!

I'm totally up for discussing this on the 1st! Maybe we should do a poll to see if everyone else wants to, too!

I'm not going to be able to read this month... Just so you aren't awaiting my replies...

I finished reading River's Edge tonight. I loved it.

I just checked my HOLD at the library, I am #1 on the list, and it is being transferred between libraries. My branch receives books on Tues and Fri. So, with lots of luck it will arrive tomorrow. Sounds like ya'll read it quickly...
Was our timeline unrealistic - for obtaining the book and reading it by the end of June?

I think the timeline was realistic but we have a lot of book nerds that treat a new book like Christmas! Ha ha We can't wait and we just want to rip off the wrapping paper and enjoy!

Ha ha! That is EXACTLY my problem, Amber!! Lol

For our next book, we could just use our group poll feature and put in all the book suggestions and then have everyone vote. Super easy, and might save us some time. Plus we can see what people are really wanting to read. Random works good too, though!

I'm going to set up a poll about whether we would like to vote for books or decide randomly.

I tried not to read the whole book, before June, but I just couldn't hold back

I now have a copy of 'Rivers Edge' in my hands (it did arrive at my local library today!). So, I shall begin this evening...

I noticed no one is voting in our polls. Please do, so we can figure out which courses to take with the group.

Just finished River's Edge and I really loved it! I'm ready for a discussion whenever everyone else is finished.

Ready to begin Chapter 14, but alas, other work calls for my attention today...

This sounds like a good book. I'm going to snag a kindle version and get started next week.
