Melody Beach
Beau walked across the sandy shore of the beach, his bare feet making small imprints in the sand. The side of the beach he resided on was pretty much secluded, so the only sound he heard was the crash of the waves and the sound of his camera constantly adjusting the lens.He took a shot of the scenery, his camera making a soft click as the lens closed. The beach was beautiful and a great place to take pictures in his opinion, there was always something new he could find.Plus, the pictures he took could make great portraits. His world revolved around the two things he loved most: photography and art.His mind never stopped thinking about it,he was always focused on them. Beau carried a camera with him all the time,so when the opportunity came he could take pictures.
Beau snapped pictures of a girl in the water. He didn't focus on her but used her as a bigger picture of the ocean. He knew that many people didn't mind getting pictures, but out of courtesy he would ask her when she came upon shore. He sat down on the sand for a bit, tucking up the legs of his pants. He wanted to get some shots from more of the view of the water, but didn't want to get fully in.He slowly walked in to about mid-calf,taking pictures of the water, the sky, anything inspirational.
"Hello miss. I would like to ask if there is no problem with me using a few pictures of you? You cannot notice anything on your body or your face, it just looks quite nice. It works well with the vast ocean to see only a small object in the distance."He said, not turning to look at the girl.He still snapped pictures of the sky and things in the distance. He was mostly focused on his photography, not much on the girl.He never bothered to even look at girls. He wasn't even ready to date yet, after the accident and all.
He nodded as he took the camera off from around his neck and handed it to her.He scrolled to the picture that had her in the shot. (view spoiler) He didn't mind showing her the picture of herself. When people asked to see more of his work, that was another story. He disliked when people saw what he was doing before he published it because they could steal his ideas and take them as their own.He never wanted to risk his career. He was a good photographer, and he was slowly starting to get out there. Many people had bought his paintings and his photos were slowly starting to get noticed.
Beau sighed and shook his head"Im quite sorry miss, but I do not hand out any pictures to anyone until they're published."He apologized out of courtesy mostly. He didn't feel sorry that he couldn't give out his picture,he didn't plan to.He just said so so that the girl would stop asking. She probably understood that many new artists and photographers could not give anything or tell anything about their work before publishing it or showcasing it because people could rob them of it.
"Thank you."He said simply. He didn't want to make much more contact with a female,so he simply walked away.He wasn't trying to be rude or such, but it was hard for him to be near women of his age.It had only been two years, and to him no time could heal his scars. He blamed himself for her death, and he thought that if he dated somebody else, something would happen to them.He walked around the shore, snapping pictures of rocks that the waves would crash upon, causing beautiful stills.

Lena took off her orange flip flops and put her bare feet on the sand and let the sand go between her toes. She felt the hot sun against her skin and felt like sleeping, she laid down a towel. She pulled on her adorable floral sunglasses and sat down on the towel and tanned. Looking through her eyelashes she saw girls staring at her in envy, she did have a fabulous figure and a beautiful new bikini which suited her very nicely. Boys pulled down their shades and checked her out as they passed by. If only they knew the troubles she went through to get the body she know had.
Having been jogging along the marvelous shore of the pristine beach, you could say that Heath was enjoying himself. Bare chested along with a pair of running shorts and sports sneakers, he had come prepared. On top of that, the water bottle he held in his right hand was nearing the half mark, his disheveled hair and gaped mouth proving how long he had been running.
In the distance, he noticed a girl and a very familiar form next to each other, a little intrigued, his pace quickened; he hadn't yet reached a run but it resembled something like a fast paced, rushed jog. his brows furrowing upon seeing the familiar form he now recognised as Beau, he then took off in a run in an attempt at catching up to him.
About a minute of running later, he had reached the guy with the same age as himself. Gradually slowing his rhythm, Bubbles walked the rest of the distance until he was able to give his shoulders a friendly tap when he was done with his picture. "Hey man," He greeted, taking a drink of water soon after.
"How's it going? It's pretty hot outside, don't you think?" As if proving his point, Heath wiped his dampened brow with his forearm in a careless gesture, a sigh pushing out through his lips at the same time.
Beau was casually snapping a few pictures here and there, getting a few nice stills. He walked at a leisurely pace, not really caring if a good shot got out of his grasp. He had quite a number of pictures, some good and some mediocre, well to him anyways.
He hadn't really payed attention to the girl he left behind. He knew it wasn't the most polite thing to do,just walk away like he did.Yet,it didn't really bother him.Ever since the accident he had always changed around women. He was much more quiet, very blunt and void of any emotion.Beau also knew that he shouldn't be that way around women,it was two years.Though somewhere in his heart he felt as if it wasn't enough. It wasn't enough time for him to recover.
Beau was snapped out of his deep thoughts when a familiar voice spoke. He hadn't felt the tap on the shoulder, though he remembered the voice. He turned to see Heath standing in front of him, looking as if he'd been running for hours. He laughed when he mentioned the heat"Well Heath,to me the weather is just great.May it be that you've been running too much?"He said.He was good friends with Heath for a while, and he had no problem being around him.He wasn't a women,so he was usually the same around him as if he would be around anyone before the accident. Heath knew about what had happened, and Beau was pretty sure that he knew how he was around women.

Heath knew about what had happened, and Beau was pretty sure that he knew how he was around women.
Beau's laugh was the source of Heath's wide grin breaking across his face and soon after, a laugh pushing out of him as he skimmed his hand down his own torso, his hand disgustingly moist. "Yeah, maybe you're right." Nothing a shower couldn't fix, in fact, he was looking forward to that shower and then perhaps a good salad of some sort and then he would go for a ride on his horse and maybe go for another run again, followed by watching the sunset in this very spot, only at a much later hour.
Bubbles liked Beau, he was a nice guy with good intentions only with a tragic and terrible past, an incident much like his own, only his was family related and involved a house fire. He had yet to tell someone in this town of it, but if Heath had to chose one person to tell this to, he'd pick Beau because he felt as if the guy would be able to relate the best with him.
Of course he knew about his trouble with women and if he were speaking honestly, he'd say he completely understood why Beau was the way he was. Heath had experienced it first hand, how he interacted with the girl of this town but had decided that the matter wasn't one he should mess with like he did for almost everything else.
Decidedly moving on with the conversation, Heath continued on, "Why the hell is your camera pointed toward the water? You've got a sexy beast right here." He pointed out, vaguely gesturing to himself with a small laugh, the run having brought a new wave of tired energy. His statement having been nothing but an attempt at being comical, an actual question caught his interest, "What's with you and taking pictures? Like...what do you get out of it?"
It was something he could never understand when it came to photographers and their cameras. Wasn't capturing a moment in your mind more memorable than looking at piece of paper? Not that he bashed on photography, on the contrary, Heath was fond of the pictures taken, especially Beau's, he simply couldn't understand.
Beau laughed and ran a hand through his hair"I wouldn't quite call you a sexy beast Heath.Actually, your quite the contrary. As for photography, it's just another way of seeing life. Most people take everything your seeing for granted, when there is so much more to it.Lets take a still of waves crashing against some rocks for example. If you see it with your eyes, your first reaction is that it isn't that special. But if you look at it through the lens, you see that it's quite beautiful."Beau replied. He could go on and on about how great photography and art was, heck he could write a book about it.
Beau always saw that people these days with all their electronics and such were so captured inside,on the computer, doing nothing all day. (view spoiler)Yet,if they got out once in a while, they would see how beautiful earth really is.They should be fortunate that they can actually see all the marvelous things, because others cant.
Beau's mind turned over to how much exercise Heath did.Seriously,he thought that Heath was some kind of exercise junkie. He never had really asked him,but he was quite curious.
"Whats up with you the exercise man?Seriously it's like it's an addiction."Beau said, awaiting his answer.

"Clearly, you need to get your eyes checked, dude." Replied Heath referring to the comment Beau had made about his lack of being sexy. As his friend spoke, he took the time to take a longer drink of his water, his brown irises never left the speaker as he nodded, swallowing the tasteless liquid as he brought this bottle down once more
"Well, I guess, but I mean how is it special? Wet rocks due by a tidal of waves; I know that it has a deeper meaning but, how do you see the beauty in it at first glance? Like, when do you know that you should take a picture of this or that if no beauty is seen upon the first glance?" It really was puzzling to him and some part of him told him to just drop the subject because he never was going to understand but Beau's answers seemed to make more sense than other photographers he had asked.
Yet another grin plastered on Heath's face at Beau's inquiries on his exercising. He never thought of it as an addiction, although the more somber part of him knew that it was a way to prepare himself as well as let out anything bad he'd be feeling at the time. "Well, it's simple," Heath said, kicking some sand mindlessly as his gaze took in the live waves - what a good day to be surfing, maybe he'd to that.
"When you're ninety-nine years old, you're going to have a room full of awesome pictures of wet rocks and I'll be surrounded by young women because my body is going to stay fit. I'll own the Playboy house, or even make my own." He looked for Beau's reaction before he went on with a more reasonable answer. "Nah, but I guess it just...I don't know...helps me think about things and makes me forget about the things I wished I never remembered, you know?" He paused, rubbing the nape of his neck with his hand briefly.
"Maybe that's why I don't understand photography; why would you want to remember something that happened before?"
Beau laughed softly as he walked forward very slowly, pacing slightly" We all want to forget things in our past. When something bad happens, you don't even want to think about it.So you leave, you don't want anything to do with it.But what about those really happy moments? Do you ever want to forget those? Even if it does hold a sad meaning,do you want to forget that? I don't know what I see in so many things myself, but I do know that when I look back at pictures of Cal, I feel good.Because I know she's better.Doesn't that make you happy?"Beau asked him, turning to look at him.
Beau was quite deep when you got to know him.He wasn't very interested in all the gossip, all the things that people always talked about. He was such a down to earth person. He thought about things so much, that he understood the deeper meaning. Most people never got to that point. Why?Because they ran away.Ran away from the pain.He embraced it.He let it take him down with it,and when he came back he was new.He was so much more head strong,so different. Many people couldn't really understand his thoughts, they couldn't really grasp what he was saying. Many of those people didn't understand.Beau knew that Heath had been through so much, that maybe he would understand.
Beau could understand where Heath came from.He let himself get distracted a lot.He knew if he focused on photography and art,he would temporarily forget everything as if it never happened.Beau also knew that it would come back, and he let it.He never pushed it away.Because he knew that by pushing it away,he would have never thought how he does now.

As Beau spoke, Heath stayed beside him, nodding his head along slowly. He was true, so true that Heath realised that this was getting a little too...personal. He didn't like that, not one bit. He bit his lip and nodded at the mention of Cal being in a better place; from what Beau had said about her, she deserved to be in a better place, he truly hoped she was. If not for herself, for Beau.
"But what if you don't know they're in a better place?" He asked quietly, his eyes straining to see over the yonder, forcing the images back, way, way back into the depths of his mind. Away so deep, he hoped they got lost within the abyss of unknown. "What if," Heath bit his lip, feeling a little discomfort, "I mean, there's no way Cal isn't up in heaven, waiting for you but how did you figure that out?" He peered over at Beau, completely serious.
This was unnatural for him, to be like this. He hadn't expected things to take such a turn; whether it was for the worst or the better, he wasn't quite sure yet. He just knew that if he wanted answers, Beau would be the right guy to go to because the church really wasn't helping. Praying hadn't given him any answers, neither had the priests and he had tried resorting to mediation in order to find the answers 'within himself' but quite frankly, Bubbles could barely stand still for a minute.
"I guess you quite don't know that.I don't believe in God or whatever, but I do believe that good people go to good places after their death. As far as I know,Cal was one of the kindest and best people out there. So even if I don't know if she's okay,or if she's in a better place,it helps to cope with everything if you just believe it.It's also a motivator. To know that one day, when I die, I may just see her. It's something to live for.So I live life how I can, doing the right things.I don't give a crap if people judge me for it,because most people are just speaking a bunch of bull."Beau said, his eyes watering slightly. He rubbed at them slightly, turning back to Heath as if nothing happened.
"Sorry if I'm dragging you into a sob story or whatever.I know it's not everyday that somebody talks about these kinds of things."Beau felt a pang of guilt, seeing the discomfort in Heaths eyes.He knew what the guy had been through, and Beau felt that it was more than anybody should go through.Beau know if his sister died,he's probably be a pit of nothing. He respected the strength Heath had,he always had a smile on his face and no bit of sadness ever showed, even with what had happened to him.He was a great person,a great friend.

Chewing on his lower lip, Heat wished he had pockets to stuff his hands in but of course, he didn't have such so he was stuck with fumbling with his - now - empty plastic bottle of water. He tossed it up gently, barely lifting higher than his chest as he listened to Beau had to say intently.
He felt as if the guy was a lot wiser than he should be for a nineteen year old and maybe that was one of the reasons he liked him so much (view spoiler). Beau was such an easy person to talk to, well, if you were a guy, anyway, he could be nice and friendly but at the same time, he was able to dish out words of wisdom when it was needed.
Yes, he had noticed Beau's eyes water and he was quite glad that the waterworks hadn't started, because, well, what was he to do? Hug him? Pat his shoulder? Heath figured that just being there for the guy if he did start crying would be best.
"Don't be sorry," Heath gave a slight smile, accompanied by a simple shrug. "Better now than never, right?" His voice hinted at a little cheeriness but it was short lived, mostly because he kept on going with the conversation. "What if you know you're not going to see them again? I mean...like even after death." He asked, more speaking to the air than he was to Beau himself, losing himself in his thoughts.
"I mean," Briefly, he felt a small constriction in his throat and reconsidered his words for a few moments. "What if you know you're not going to see them again? How do you deal with that?
"I don't know. You kind of have to find your own way to keep yourself off that path. Not think like that. And if you do think that, well I'd say you need to talk to them while you can.Im pretty sure they keep a good eye on you,and they're probably all ears. So, even if it does sound stupid, get everything off your chest before you die.Tell them what you need to."Beau said, his throat getting tighter by the minute. He cleared his throat before turning around
"Can we stop talking about this man? It's bringing back things I don't want to really think about right now."He asked, walked back towards him.Beau knew that he sounded crazy at times, but I guess that's what happens after a while. You make up new things to believe, things that can keep you going. That's all Beau ever did. He told himself encouraging things that helped him get through the day.It was nice to think about, but sometimes he doubted himself.

At the mention of evading this conversation, Heath brought it upon himself to cast Beau's wish. "Yeah, me too." He mumbled, chucking his bottle up in the air and catching it before he pointed to Beau's camera with a grin. "Now, didn't you say something about me being so sexy you just had to take a picture of me beside wet rocks?" A friendly smirk tilted his lips as he took a few steps back.
"Also, did you know, according the Snooki, the ocean's saltiness comes from whale sperm." He stated matter-of-factly, his hand coming up in a gesture of knowing. "I think she may be right, thus, making us all homosexuals." He grinned, looking back at the water he knew wasn't connected to the ocean but he still found it hilarious that a human could think such absurd things.
Beau laughed"I don't think theres enough whale sperm to make the whole damn ocean salty Heath. At most it'd only make about a small section salty."Beau replied, smacking him against the head.He knew that him and Heath were able to do things like such without getting pissed and kicking each other's asses, since they were such good friends.
"And actually I remember calling you something else. What's the word?Unattractive?Ugly?Nothing close to pretty?"Beau said teasingly. He knew most girls preferred Heath over him,so he was obviously joking.Though, being a guy and all,he wouldn't call him attractive. That would just sound wrong.

A boyish laugh escaped Heath as a hand came and smacked the back of his head. He took a few quick steps forward, drooping his head down before he grinned back up at him, glad to have had that boat of sappiness sailed away, neither of them having embarked on it. "How would you know?" He fired back, "Have you tested it yourself? Maybe there's a combination of whale, shark and fish sperm all in there." He paused and then grimaced, laughing.
"Actually, you never called me either of those things, in fact you said - and I quote - 'You are quite the contrary'." He stated, smiling, not offended in the least. If it weren't for Beau's women problems, he was sure that girls would be all over him and it saddened him a little that Beau still hadn't moved on completely - but everyone went at their own pace, right? It's not like Heath himself had moved on. "Which implies that I'm the opposite of a sexy beast, which is something ten times better than that because sexy beasts are overrated anyway."
Surprisingly, Heath had come close to saying all of the above in a matter of one simple breath.
Beau laughed"Oh dear lord. Then that would make us flamboyant raging homosexuals. Also, didn't you call yourself a sexy beast?Wouldn't you just be calling yourself overrated?Which means your pretty much not what everybody says you are."He shot back with a laugh.
Beau himself didn't care if he hadn't moved on yet,he wasn't one for letting girls drape themselves all up on him anyways. He was never the guy to be focused on girls, how many liked him and such.Beau focused himself on other things, mostly because he told himself he didn't need a girl to be happy. He could be fine with a few friends.

"Hell no, I'd pick flaboyant raging homosexual over sexy beast any day!" The boy exclaimed, his cheeks rosy from the amount of laughter going on. He was very well enjoying this, in the end, it had been a good thing. He let out an airy laugh and shook his head, mindlessly walking, his footing purposely crooked.
When it came to girls, Heath liked to flirt but he never enjoyed going anything beyond that; of course there was the whole dating scenario he enjoyed doing here and there but when it came to actual commitment, he still didn't feel as if he was ready for a relationship like that. It's not like he was some bachelor that slept with everything that moved, he just didn't want to be tied down although he kept in mind that the feeling of being tied down shouldn't be a part of a relationship.
"We should start heading the other way, huh?" He realised, noticing that they had walked pretty far out onto the beach, not that it bothered him or anything but he knew that they'd have to head back eventually.
(view spoiler)
Beau laughed loudly, wiping a tear that had escaped his eye.His stomach hurt from laughing so hard that he had to clench it slightly. When he heard Heath mention heading back, he nodded "Yeah I guess so.It's getting pretty late.I don't want to get home too late and then be up all night editing pictures.Gosh.Photographer problems."Beau scoffed slightly with a laugh as he walked back the way they came from. He looked over at Heath"Hey,have you ever thought 'maybe I'm getting a bit conceited'?"Beau asked teasingly. He knew that Heath was confident, but never conceited. He knew Heath too well, and he knew that he was a pretty good guy. Beau wouldn't even mind Carrie being with somebody like Heath.Of course,Carrie hated all his friends,so that would be highly impossible. She was 17,and Beau treated her like she was 10.It may be because he just wants her to be his baby sister forever,or because he's used to being so protective of people since the accident.

"Dude you were always conceited." Heath replied almost immediately after his question, "Nah, I'm just kidding, man; you're not conceited, just busy, I guess." He gave a small shrug and then chuckled, smiling over at him, "The day you become conceited is the day you'll think you're better looking than me." He pointed out and without further ado, tacked on, "Remember that."
He gave a small laugh, implying that he was just being playful. As they made their way back, Heath noted that the temperature had dropped a considerate amount and that the sweat that had dried on his body were daring for him to shiver, something he refused to do.
"Could I see the pictures when they're edited and developped or...whenever your photographer problems are dealt with?" He gave a small smile, his throat feeling parched. How the hell did he managed to get so dehydrated in such a small amount of time? He assumed that he had been low on hydration for a few hours now but still, it was unnerving.

Beau laughed waving a hand in front of him"Please.Im already better looking than you."He said as he struck a dramatic pose"See,I'm irresistible."Beau said before cracking up.He paused to regain composure before he replied once again"Sure. So long as you don't steal my ideas.Because then I'd have to snap your neck."Beau threatened. He obviously wasn't serious.Heath was like his best friend, he was like family. He walked forward, and just remembered that he didn't have his shoes. They were back where he first stepped foot on the beach, which was a long way from where he stood. He shrugged, he'd get them when he arrived,if they were still there.Beau shrugged once again,he didn't mind walking home shoeless. He had plenty at home, one pair was nothing.

Not able to resist yet another good laugh, this time it was held a sarcastic twang to it. "Please, Beau, you have got to seriously get yours eyes checked. He laughed at his pose and then rolled his eyes in a manner that meant nothing but playfulness. "Please, I haven't seen a pose that bad since...since the last you stroke a pose." He laughed once more before he grinned at his empty threat.
"Oh, you caught me, I was going to steal all of your pictures of wet rocks and post them all over the internet." The sarcasm couldn't be more evident in his intonation, the smile not able to be rid of on his face. "Nah, I just want to look at them, no need to go all psychotic on me."
Beau started cracking up again"I believe you've seen worse.Like the ones you strike in the mirror."he shot back with a smirk on his face.He was always playful like this with only four people,Carolyn,Heath, and his two parents. He wasn't close like that with anybody else but those people.
"Well,Carrie has. It's not fun having to pay to get it off the internet.Of course, I sold it for more so in the end it was all good."Beau said with a smile. It was true,Carrie had pulled some messed up pranks on him,but he'd always gotten back at her.He walked forward, taking a few pictures as he walked.

"Hah, jokes on you because I don't need a mirror to know how good I am, the girls do a pretty good job at making it known - and the guys." The last part was tacked on as an afterthought he wished he could have thought off a split second earlier, but life clearly did not want him to burn his friend.
Carrie, for a brief moment, he had to rummage his brain in order to put a face to the name but he soon did and was able to understand the context. Reacting, Heath smiled in return, bordering a grin. "Well, I see how it is; it's all about the cash with you, isn't it?" Folding his arms over his chest, Heath snorted,
"I take back my statement, you are becoming conceited, my dear friend."
Beau rolled his eyes"Your quite arrogant now aren't you?Heath,i've seen you make faces to yourself in the mirror so don't act like you don't.I also do not believe that many guys or girls would see you as good looking."Beau said matter-of-factly.
"And frankly,it quite is.Seeing that the only money I get is from the pictures and art I make,it does matter how much money I get. Also seeing that I have to pay for a home which also houses my annoying little sister, I kind of like to make a bit of money."Beau said with a laugh. When he heard the statement of himself being conceited, her chuckled"I never denied it now did I."Beau replied. It was true,he thought Carrie was annoying at times, but he also loved her to death. She,along with his mother, were the only two women he could be around.

Heath's face melted into something warm and clearly amused, "You know what, let's just agree that I'm the better looking one, saves us the trouble." He chuckled, nudging his friend playfully before rocking side to side in a slightly fatigued manner. He figured that his plans would change; he'd go and brush his beloved horse, give her some affection and he would then go and play fetch with his dog, take a shower and go to sleep after having eaten some peanuts or something.
"Alright, you've made your point." He raised his hands in defeat, chuckling as his bobbed his head in a nodding manner. Scoffing at Beau's retort, he pondered removing his shoes and letting the cool sand slip through his hairy toes. "No, you haven't but that doesn't make you any less conceited." He smirked, his voice having dropped a few decibels before a yawn peaked out, letting his fatigue be known. "Oh man, I can't wait to crash, still got so many things to do. Gosh, Farmer problems." His voice imitated Beau's in an exaggerated manner, meant for teasing.
"You know you should really get some sleep. It's not good for you to be walking around,no forgive me running,on like three hours of sleep.Haven't you heard of the nine hour rule? And don't you mock my troubles!"Beau said, slapping him behind the head once again. It was something he was used to doing, heck he'd done it to his family members.Of course,he'd get a slap back but only on the face.Ah.Sweet sweet family.
Beau spotted his shoes a few feet in front of them and he walked towards them.He picked them up,wiping his feet off before slipping them on."Much better."He said with a smile as he walked back to Heath."No but seriously.Get some sleep you bum."He said with a playful nudge.

"You know, you should really stop sounding like my mother." He replied, chuckling as he fixed his beyond repairable hair by running a clumsy hand through it, worsening it, in fact. "I got five hours of sleep last night, thank you very much." He added, chuckling.
Seizing the opportunity, when Beau bent to pick his shoes off, down went his hand and smack right behind it; snorting in an attempt at holding back laughter, he gave a small nod at Beau's advice. "Yeah, I'll just get things done and then I'll head to bed, I can sleep in tomorrow morning, no big deal." He gave a small shrug and then he held his water bottle in both of his hands. "I'll talk to you tomorrow or something, man." He gave a small nod and patted Beau's arm with a slight smile, "And those pictures won't need much editing, trust me." There, his smile grew warmer and he took a few steps back,
"Take care."

Beau laughed as he rubbed the back of his head but he smiled at his comment,"Thanks."He replied. He paused for a second before continuing" Bye you bastard" Beau said playfully. He walked up the few steps that led to the concrete sidewalk. He walked forward and sighed, his house was just a bit far from the beach.Well, thats what he got for walking there. Chuckling, the bastard shook his head and went off the other way and soon pushed out a sigh and resumed his run, this time all the way back home which was a little ways out of the small town. Maybe Beau was right, this exercising was growing a little too frequent. Oh well, he could only be healthier, right?
Brynn parked her car and hopped out, grabbing her beach bag. She adjusted her sunglasses then headed out towards the beach, her blonde hair rippling behind her. She smiled, inhaling the salty air.
Alyssa walked onto the beach in her bikini and wrap cover up. Her hips swayed to the beat of her iPod as she walked along the hot sand. Her lips moved soundlessly to the lyrics and her eyes were closed. She reveled in the feel of the hot sand emanating up the soles of her feet. Her eyes opened and she dropped her bag to the ground and pulled out her towel. She snapped it out and let it float to the ground. She unraveled her wrap and lay out on the stomach, sighing as the sun warmed her back. Her eyes closed again as the music flowed through her. She rested her chin on her folded arms and just relaxed, school was finally over and summer was beginning. She could afford to stop and smell the metaphorical roses every once in a while.
Brynn walked down the beach, then stopped, dropping her bag and unpacking her stuff. She pulled out her towel and spread it out, sitting down on it, then pulled off her cover-up, revealing her bikini. She smiled, applying some sunscreen, then grabbed her book, The Fault In Our Stars, and lied down on her towel.
Alyssa was well on her way to a solid tan when her music cut out. She frowned and started fiddling with her iPod but when the screen didn't light up when she pressed the button she cursed. "Shit, I told Alec to charge it up when he was done." She muttered and yanked the earbuds out of her ears. She wound the headphones around her iPod and tossed it in her bag. She sighed and looked up at the sky, using her hand to shield her eyes from the bright sun.It couldn't be later than two-thirty, maybe three and she had nowhere to be for the rest of the day. It sucked that her iPod was dead but she should have checked before she left home. She sat up and rolled out her shoulders to get the kinks out.
Ella stepped on the cool sand, the only light emanating from the pale moon. She was glad to be in the silence, still feeling the sickening beat running beneath her skin from the club. Soon enough she had her feet in the water that broke over the shore, her bare feet slowly sinking into the sand. She closed her eyes and felt the light, salty breeze wash over her. It seemed to settle her racing pulse. The chill was hardly noticed in this moment of serenity. She twirled her finger around a loose string from her jacket as she allowed her eyelids to flutter open again.
After a few hours she had successfully washed away the horrid experience. She began her journey back to the apartment. It was not that far to walk from here but was still a fair amount. She felt her body warming to normal temperature as the chill of the ocean faded away.
Rule wandered up and down the sandy beach, he often found he liked the constant noise and could even see him staying there for hours when usually things got boring fairly quickly. He liked things that were constantly changing and the beach certainly wasn't one of them but he couldn't shake his enjoyment of it. Not that it mattered considering he barely ever came down here anyways. Peering over at Cat he flashed her a smile before looking up at the rapidly sinking sun. "So do you and your band travel a lot?" He inquired while kicking up some sand every once in a while absentmindedly.
Lucy looked out at the beach while holding his hand. She took off her heels and held them in one hand then took a step onto the sandy beach. She loved the feel of sand between her toes. She looked out at the waters, "isn't it beautiful? I wish i wasn't so afraid of the water." She frowned.
"NO, not exactly... I love swimming don't get me wrong, and boogie boarding is also amazing fun. I just, i have a fear of whats more in the water than the water itself." She looked down at the ground and started to barry one of her feet in the sand.
Alex then said, "I promise I'll protect you Lucy, so do you want to go for a swim with me?" He then moved his hand to he face looking at her blue eyes. She looked beautiful in the dark.
Her heart was beating a mile a minute n her chest. without even thinking, even if she could think with him touching her. She said "Yes" She started to take off her dress and threw her shoes next to it. "You better keep me safe." She smirked.
