Chris suddenly appeared in the chair opposite the boy, leaning back on his chair so his feet were rested on the table. With a mischievous grin, he allowed himself to fall forwards and lean on the table.
"Chris Harper. I'm new here."
He extended his hand out for the boy to shake, though from the look on his face he wasn't in the mood for pleasantries.

Chris laughed quietly, realising that Felix obviously couldn't have seen him sat before him.
"Sorry. Part of my power is invisibility, so I have fun with it."
He held out his hand and made it invisible, just to show him. Unable to stop himself showing off while he had Felix's attention, he dropped his now-visible hand and allowed it to pass through the table.
"The other part is I can phase through stuff."

Chris' smile widened involuntarily, though he managed to downplay it with a small shrug. He preferred being with people for no reason other than he liked being liked.
"Sure. Just a question though: do most mutants have...unique...colourings like you?"
He didn't mean to sound rude, but for some reason the fact he was talking to someone completely blue had somehow not dawned on him before.

Chris laughed along nervously, not sure how what he had said was funny. Maybe it was something stupid. He cleared his throat, swiftly getting to his feet before crossing his arms over his chest, his mouth in a side-smile.
"So then. Where're these friends and why will I benefit from meeting them?"
"So then. Where're these friends and why will I benefit from meeting them?"
Chris raised an eyebrow, biting his lip in amusement. He can end a week long conflict? If there's a conflict between mutants it would probably be best to end it.
"I think the conflict's a good place to start. We're supposed to be fighting criminals, not each other."
He bent forwards, leaning his arms onto the table for support. Not even one day in and he's already solving problems here.

Chris laughed quietly to himself. He'll be a hero... The only problem would be convincing two girls he'd never met before to help him.
"And what about you? How are you involved with this master plan?"
As soon as he asked the question he started thinking about alternative plans. All that was needed was to get them in the auditorium. Maybe he didn't need the girls...

Chris raised his eyebrow in question, his body straightening out. From what Felix said about one of them being murderous somehow wasn't convincing.
"I'll end up phasing through them. Maybe if I stay invisible, they won't know where I am or when I'll stop them?"
For some reason he found himself smiling again. Perhaps it was the fact he could talk about powers openly without people questioning.

Chris nodded his head slowly. He still couldn't get over the fact that he was already helping people out, even though that was why he joined Enigma in the first place.
"Sounds like a plan. First things first, where are these girls and who should I speak to first?"
"Sounds like a plan. First things first, where are these girls and who should I speak to first?"
Chris said nothing, just nodded his head and slowly faded away into nothing, or at least into nothing visible. Walking through all the tables and chairs rather than around them, he headed for the hall, not even realising he didn't even know who this Jane was or what she looks like.
Fina smiled happily as she observed some of the other mutants that were already sitting and talking with one another. "So Taylor, did you come here for food, or were you looking for someone?"
Grinning, Fina followed Taylor towards the food. "Well, that's a good thing, because I'm hungry too. Then maybe we can get to know each other better."
Surprisingly, they had a good amount of decent kinds of food. It wasn't like the lunchroom food from a normal school. "Hamburgers, Hot dogs, salads... It's pretty much like a buffet restaurant in here. They've got grilled chicken, Italian dishes, and even Asian food. It's awesome!" Fina grinned at the sight of the variety of foods available. "Anything sound appetizing?"
"It's fine," Fina smiled genuinely, taking a plate and putting a piece of grilled chicken on it before grabbing a plate for herself. She loved helping people. "I can already tell we'll be great friends Taylor. Do you have a nickname? I'm rather curious about that."
"Well then Tay, you can call me Fi. You know, like tea with an F." Fina glanced at Taylor as she plopped food on both her own and Taylor's plate. "Do you like potatoes?"
"It's not a problem, really Tay." Fi held Taylor's and her now full plates of food, and guided them to an empty table.
Holding a fork with a piece of chicken in her hand, Fina opened her mouth to speak. "So, I don't really know all that much about you or this place. How I start with asking about your power? What is it, if you don't mind me asking?"
"That's pretty cool," Fina grinned. "Mine is more for defense than attacking others."
Fi raised a brow. "You're not even going to ask what it is? Most people's next question is something along the lines of, 'so what can you do?'"
Fina let out a quiet chuckle before speaking again. "It actually does have to do with seeing it; I have the power of Illusion. Whereas for your how you got to be blind, do you mind if people ask?"
"So," Fina started. "How did you become blind?"
"Why were you burned in your eyes by your parents?" Fina asked.
"Oh." Fina stated. She didn't really know what else to say, though she had her own sad story to tell. But unfortunately for her, she could still see those haunting memories. "I'm sorry."
Drawing her brows together, Fina spoke up. "I've always been curious about this, but you can still see in your dreams right? Because dreams are different from reality."
"It must be hard." Fina sighed. "Heck, life is hard on all of us."
((Sorry! I got distracted!))
Looking down at her now empty plate, Fi glanced over to Taylor. "Let's talk about happier things. I don't like being in this mood."

Fina smiled, "I like music too. It's really interesting to listen to."
"Yeah. Now that we're finished eating, do you want to go somewhere else?" Fina asked.
"Um, I don't really know. I've never seen much of this place, since I haven't been here long. So I don't really know what all places there are to go." Fina frowned.
((Do you mind if they part ways? There's nothing else to really talk about...))
"On second thought, I have something I should do. Sorry, but thanks for talking with me Taylor." Fina smiled.

Widad had taken a seat near a window, and was nibbling a sandwich. Well, sandwich was a loose term for it; it was basically two slices stuck together with butter spread on them. She then took a sip of milk out of her glass, and gave an exasperated sigh.
Widad had seen the tiger walk in, and was shocked to hear girls scream and run away in fear. Idiots, she couldn’t help thinking. You should never scream at a wild animal. It only makes them scared. When the tiger transformed into Jonathan, and he asked could he sit, she obliged. “Of course you can,” she said with a shy smile.
“Two slices of bread and this,” she said, holding her own glass of milk. She wasn’t really hungry, but she knew she had to eat something. So she went for something light. “What type of burger is that?”
Widad nodded. “I lived near a farm in Switzerland,” she said. “My sister and I always went there to help the old man that worked there. He was a widower, and had no one to help him or take care of him. Our payment was three buckets of fresh milk.” Widad smiled at the sweet memory. She could still hear the echoes of her sisters care-free laughter when they used to throw fist full’s of hay at each other.
Widad chuckled, soft and short. “I thought big cats liking milk was only a legend,” she said and teased, “Does that mean you can’t swim and you have nine lives?”
Widad sipped the last of her milk. She tried to set it down, but it stuck to her palm. Oh great, she thought. She started to pretend that she was just holding the glass. “I don’t actually know many things about tigers,” she said, trying to keep his attention away from her hand.
“Please,” Widad had said, and felt a tingle where he touched her skin. She thought about getting gloves, but then thought against it. They’d probably get stuck, and they might block out her grip on walls. She only got away with shoes and socks because her solar tarsi wasn’t as sticky, and she had enough strength to keep her body level while she climbed.
Widad felt the cup gently pull away from the microscopic hairs on her palm. She did feel a bit of a tug, but it was utterly painless. “Thank you,” she said, and mumbled, “Gee, why wasn’t I born with the bug wings? No, I had to get the stickers.” She scowled at her palm.
Widad was about to say something to Jonathan, but her attention went to the girl who had just entered. She was laughing uncontrollably, for no apparent reason. Is she OK? Widad wondered.
((Darn it! I missed the action.))Widad said later in the conversation to herself, "Taylor is originally Irish surname. It's where it originated. But I could have sworn McKay was Scottish..."
As usual, she trailed off into her own land, and only caught snippets of Jonathan’s and Taylor’s conversation. Claire...Florida... all types of Water... Wida... Girlfriend... dinner with me tonight... What?!... Sure... Don’t burn me?!.. A roar...
She awoke from her daydream to find herself all alone, neither Jonathan nor Taylor in sight. Did they leave her? She looked around her to see a few tables and chairs turned over. Were they hurt? A sudden dread inched over her body. Did Jonathan accidently transformed?
She went out of the hall, in the hope that she would find them.
Widad quickly entered the hall and filled a glass with water for Taylor. When it was full she turned on her heels and left again.
Ailith quietly walked into the dining hall. She looked around and went to get a small snack, grabbing a granola bar and a glass of lemonade. She sat down at the far side of the room, her feet up on another chair as she looked out the window, thinking silently to herself.
