Well, i know LOTS of people who have strong views on Harry and Twi. So why don't you guys post them here?

on the books or movies?

Movies, I thought Harry potter the 1st one was better, maybe because I didn't read the book.

Twilight, comparing it to the book, was way different. They changed many of the scenes and took a few good scenes out as well. I thought it was a little boring.

You know, people are actually compare Stephanie to J.K.!! I mean, Jo has been around for years! SM, not o long! But most people only like twilight because of Edward-Im-so-beautiful. I mean, I like him and all, but I'm not obsessed.

I liked the book because it was good, not because of Edward.

I don't really compare authors, really. I say, Stephanie Meyer is more for Romance type.If you read the last book, Breaking Dawn, it's has a lot of Romance. JK Rowling is more towards Fantasy, and not so much of Romance. There's barely any Romance in the two books I read.

For Harry Potter, the fith and the seventh were the best. But the third movie was the best movie. For Twilight, new moon was BORING. I don't really like Jacob. Breaking Dawn was the best one. My mom says I can't watch the movie because it will be to GRAPHIC.

Yeah, I thought the fifth was definitely one of the best. For the movies of HP, i don't know. I think all the 5 movies left something out. New moon, HATED IT. I hate Jacob too. I think Eclipse was the best book. Oh, you're mom read Breaking Dawn?

New Moon was okay, boring though. Out of all the four books, I really liked Twilight. Breaking Dawn is going to be rated R, I'm sure of it.

For the Harry Potter movies, I thought that the first three were good, especially the 2nd and 3rd. The 4th one, the first time I watched it, it was good. But when I tried to watch it again, it was boring. The 5th wasn't as great.

I finally saw the Twilight movie recently and thought it was a complete waste of time. I was actually hurt by how aweful it was. the actors gave piss poor perfomances ( there was absolutely no emotion displayed in there acting.) It all looked like a bunch of bland teenage-high school drama.

The Twilight series does not even compare to the Harry Potter series. I read 3 out of the 4 books in the twilight sereis ( and some of the 4th book) neither of the books captured my attention like harry potter did. Twilight is just a fad that doesn't have the kind of staying power HP does.

I liked the twilight series very much...But I haven't read the Harry potter series yet (Please don't hurt me!) so I'm not sure which one is better than the other...but in my opinion, the twlight movie was bad...I didn't like it at all

Yeah it IS, and it's DEFINITELY worth it.

Harry Potter - the fantasy for ages 8-12 (depending on the kid)
Twilight - the fantasy for ages 13-16

That's how I feel about it...

no... i think that the ages on harry potter is older because a lot or adults have read them even my grandma. and i have never read twilight.

Books: Twilight

Movies: I thought the Twilight movie was so-so. I watched the first Harry Potter movie when I was seven, and didn't like it. I haven't watched the rest of the Harry Potter movies, but I'm planning too.

No I mean, I consider Harry Potter to be written for younger people than Twilight. Like, I read the Harry Potter books when I was younger and loved them, but now that I'm older I don't find them as... entertaining.

I'm not saying that kids in other ages can't read them.

But still, I don't like to compare them. I mean, their nothing alike!

Except that their both very popular. But thats pretty much it.

Well, I liked Twilight when I first read it. I mean, I wasn't glued to the book like I was when I read the first book of Harry Potter, but it was good.

harry potter is definately bette.r..but when i read twilight it was good..then i read new moon and hated it... so im all up for harry......

lolz, that could also be read to say that it was just a good book. like how you tell someone "you're the best" and then the next day you tell someone else the same thing.

Yeah, I hated the Twilight movie as well.

I liked the twilight movie. It wasn't anywhere close to as good as the books, but it was an okay movie.

I can't wait for Half-Blood Prince to finally come out at the movies! It's going to be awesome!!!

Books - both good, but Harry Potter is unbeatable to me.
Movies - all Harry Potter movies suck. I hated them all. TWILIGHT was really good and stuck to the book.

I prefer the Harry Potter series over Twilight, but enjoy them both.

Books: I like HP better as a series more because it grows with the reader...not just in size. :) The Twilight series moves very quickly in time for the 4 books (I think it is somewhere around 3 years...) whereas HP has 7 books for 7 years, and the reader can grow with all of the characters.

Movies: Obviously, one reason the HP movies were better than Twilight would be the budget. I can only hope that the New Moon will be better because they have more money to use on production. I prefer HP movies, but I am not confident or firm in that opinion. I am willing to wait for New Moon or even all the Twilight movies to be out before making a firm decision.

Me too, I'd choose HP over Twilight, but I love them both.

Agreed. HARRY POTTER IS A LEGEND. Movies sucked?! I don't think Twilight was very good, it didn't stick to the book at least anyway.
