Aleesa Sutton Thank you, Paul, for the invitation to introduce myself and my book.

Diary of a Single Mormon Female by Aleesa Sutton

Diary of a Single Mormon Female is what happened when I found myself still single at 32. It's a memoir, based on actual diary entries, of my attempts to find Mr. Right and flourish in a church focused on marriage and families. Reviewers have called it unputdownable, hilarious and poignant.

In publishing Diary of a Single Mormon Female, I hope to increase awareness and understanding among Mormons of the unique challenges their single members face, as well as help develop more nuanced and positive discussions about celibacy. For a broader audience, I hope that Diary of a Single Mormon Female will shed some light on a religion and culture that is often misunderstood. And for those who have ever longed for a dream that hasn't come true yet, I want you to know: you are not alone.

Cathy | 14 comments Aleena, it can be difficult at times to be single in our church when families are so important. I haven't read your book. It might be a fun to read now that I am married and can look back on things that happened when I was single. I want you to know to not give up. I was married at 35. I had so many things I wanted to do before I got married plus I didn't want to be one of those girls that sat around waiting for Mr. Right and being depressed when/if he didn't showed up.
