I figure I will get this thing going as I'm dying to discuss this book. It was the first pick for my book club but I was the only one to finish it.

Maybe we should start with a check in to see who has read the book and who is planning on starting it. If needed we can split into two threads. For those who haven't started it I will just say that my experience was that it takes a bit to really get going so stick with it!

Ooh, I started it not that long ago. I love JKR, so I'm very excited to keep reading.

It's on my nook. I will make it my next read. I have about 100 pages left in my current book.

Is it a good one to recommend for my book club? We are picking our next book soon and I want to make a recommendation.

I am so bored with it. It just doesn't measure up to HP standards. And I feel like all the vulgarity and profane language is only to prove she didn't write another kid's book.

Beth, me too! I'm on page 50 and I hate it. I feel like she's trying too hard to be Adult. Someone please tell me it gets better!

I did what I never do and stopped reading it. I've only done that with one other book, the 5th one in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. But I may eventually pick that one back up n
