(Where Alice ran into the Cheshire Cat)

Emmett sat way up in a tree, leg dangling precariously from the twisted limb. He was waiting on Sara and he was starting to get impatient. Like always. He tossed his head slightly, attempting to move some of his hair away from his brow.

Sara jumped from branch to branch with her cat like agility making sure not to miss a branch. When she caught sight of Emmett she smirked a gleam of mischief in her eye as she moved quietly behind him. "Waiting on someone?" she grabbed both of his shoulders at lightning speed hoping to scare him.

Emmett jumped slightly before turning to smack at her arm playfully. "You're terrible, Sara...!" His voice a slight whine. "And yeah-- I've been waiting on you! Why are we here, anyway?" This forest way creeping him out. It almost looked like the branches were reaching out to grab him. But that was probably his imagination.

"I've heard word of a cat, a cat who is quite intriguing, I figured I'd check him out. Plus we get to mess around in this creepy forest at the risk of being caught and captured," she through her arms in the air smiling, "what an adventure!" Sara swung off of the branch and landed on the ground quietly and gracefully. She took out her bow and arrow just in case since she wasn't familiar with this forest.

Cheshire watched the two from a branch. They couldn't see him though. He hopped from the branch floating still invisable. He grinned, then to them it looked like a grin with out a face, or a body.

"Sara!" Emmett pointed over at the floating mouth as he gracefully followed her down. "What in the world is that?!" His eyes were wide. He'd never been to Wonderland.

He couldn't help giving a chuckled. He was now a whole face. " why hello." He said in his creepily soothing voice. He had a tiny bit of mist behind him like it was holding his body-less head up.

"Oh," Sara snickered, "you scare easily Emmett, tis our friend of course," She put away her bow but kept her hand on her blade just in case the cat brought some reinforcement. She turned about and saw the cat, "Why hello feline." She curtsied dramatically and lifted back up.

He had his usual sadistic grin on his face. He looked at Sara. " and you are?" He asked. He looked her over. Almost reminded him of Alice. Except she never had to go looking for him.

"Oh." Emmett pouted slightly before stating in a defensive tone. "I could tell it was the Cheshire Cat at least! I was talking about that unusual plant over there!" He pointed wildly at a particularly carnivorous looking bit of flora. Maybe he was telling a little white lie. He wasn't scared so easily though...!

"I am Sara Stone, brave adventurer of Neverland, and this is my companion Emmett," She put her hands on her hips proudly. She looked at Emmett and shook her head at him, "It is a simple plant, show no fear."

He grinned his fat cat body coming appearing. " so you are of Neverland? Fascinating." He purred. His natural grin stretched almost up to his eyes. He floated around them almost if examining them. He found it interesting that no one ever grew up. Staying a child forever was silly in his mind. He sighed " and why, might I ask, are you looking for me?" He asked.

Sara moved as the cat did making sure she had an eye on him the whole time. "We came to see if it was true, if there was a cat that could disappear and do magical things, I see now that it is true," she smiled although she had been hoping for more of a fight to get here.

" and now that you have your truth? What will you do?" He purred. He was curious. They seemed very amusing. And he did enjoy being amused. Then again everything amused him.

"Sara~" Emmett gritted out between smiling teeth. "Please don't provoke the strange magical cat." It was dangerous! Half the time he wasn't sure if it was more hazardous to his health to be with or without the girl.

He laughed " please mr. Emmet I adore this game we are playing. It is highly amusing. There's no need to be tense." He said floating around emmet " Im not going to hurt you."

"See Emmett," she smirked at him, "he wont hurt us." Even though she said it she didn't believe it herself, this land was strange and unknown to her. She kept a steady hand on her blade looking at the cat with amusement in her eyes, Sara is never afraid she just liked to be ready.

Cheshire smiled even bigger if it were possible. " ah now I do believe I asked you now that you have confirmed I exist, what do you intend to do now?" He asked his blue eyes meeting hers. They were layered thick with amusement and always the tiny bit of madness. He floated around his head becoming bodiless again.

"Now that I know you exist," she tilted her head from side to side as if she was thinking although she already knew what she was going to do. "Well," she grinned mischievously, "I could kill you, since we are at war with your land, but you seem interesting like there's something about you I haven't been told."

His grin didn't falter. " ah Sara stone, many a people have tried to kill me, and since I'm talking to you here, you can tell they failed. " he said. Even if she did try he'd simply evaporate.

"Yes, but all of those people weren't me, and I'm sure you used your coward way of disappearing so you wouldn't have to fight," she said getting bored with the cat, she honestly thought this would have been more of an adventure. Sara sat down on a rock and picked up a dead tree branch then she started to carve on it with her dagger.

He laughed " oh you Nevers are so amusing. No one has ever talked that way around here. That is incredible." He said

"Why? Are there people here actually intimidated by you?" she scoffed knowing that cant be true. Sara has battled the fiercest of creatures and fought the evilest of villains there was no way this cat frightened her. She continued to carve the stick uninterested in the cat or whatever it can do.

(( Sorry that I'm jumping in like this. Really sorry. But I need to ask Onyx a question.
So: Onyx, you have the Chashire Cat as a Charrie, right? I would like to make a human character that came to Underland a long time ago, as a little girl, and he took in and cared for. He taught her some of his skills (for e.g. disappearing) and she has a similar personalitly. Is that okay with you? If you want you can think about it, I can make her and you can look at her, and if you like her, I can use her and if not, I'll just delete her right away. It's really okay if not, I just wanted to ask. Thanks. And sorry for jumping in, again.))

He grinned " intimidated? No. Never. There has just never been a person who has talked to me like that before. It's a refreshing change isn't it?"

Onyx flew quietly through the strange forest looking around at Wendy. "This is a really strange place. I wonder if it's all like this..."

Wendy and Onyx appeared in the dark forest. Wendy was slightly dizzy, so she steadied herself on a tree.

Cheshire noticed them. He dissapeared quickly. He followed them. They looke strange. Probably Nevers.

Wendy looked around. The forest was indeed strange. She shivered, uneasy, as she felt eyes on her back. Turning around, she looked but saw nothing. "Peter?" She called softly.

Onyx felt the same as Wendy. "Somebodys watching us." she wispered.

He looked at the girl. He appeared in front of her. " why hello." He purred.

Wendy screamed in surprise and fear, and lost her balance, tumbling to the floor. Scrabbling backwards, the blue folds of her nightgown trailing in the dust, she looked around he again. "P-please don't hurt me," she said in a small voice.

Onyx shrieked as a cat appeared infront of Wendy. She looked at it closely and flew as fast as she could towards it. "Who are you?"

Wendy stood up, still shaking. So far, Wonderland was not living up to its name. "Yes," she said, "WHO are you?"

He grinned his huge grin " I won't hurt you my dear. I am Cheshire. But my friends call me Chess. And you are?" He asked.

"Onyx, Onyx from Neverland", she said with a strong voice. "What do you do HERE?"

Wendy breathed out in relief, courtseyed, and said, "Wendy Darling." Then she suddenly stopped short. "Wai-wait a minute," she spluttered in disbelief, "You- you can talk? Huh? What's this all about? Cats don't talk!"

"I guess that's why it's called WONDERland. What a terrible place.", Onyx said through gritted teeth. She didn't like this world- at all.

He laughed " Oh Ms. Wendy you obviously haven't been to wonderland. This is a place where cakes make you grow and drinks make you shrink. It is a place where flowers talk. "

"I quite agree with you, Onyx," Wendy said. Turning to the cat, she added, "you don't happen do have come across the path of a boy about my age? He's Peter Pan."

"Flowers TALK?" Onyx thought that was wonderful. She loved flowers. And flowers that talked, wow!

Cheshire shook his head. " no. I'm sorry to say I haven't. Maybe I can help you find him. Ms. Wendy." He offered. He loved these Nevers. They were so shocke by everything they saw

"That's just..." Wendy pondered the stitch. "Creepy," she concluded. "I bet you anything they're just as rude as you are," she smirked at the Cat, then changed her tone. "Your help would be much appreciated."

He smiled. His fat tabby body dissapearing.
