((Um. . .It's supposed to be spelled as "Meadow" ^^"))
Llydia walked in, having to carry a lot of messages today grew her tired. She sat at the middle of the clear meadow and sighed to herself before laying down. Looking at the sky as she gently closes her eyes.
Llydia walked in, having to carry a lot of messages today grew her tired. She sat at the middle of the clear meadow and sighed to herself before laying down. Looking at the sky as she gently closes her eyes.
((Sorry, I cant spell....at all.....))
Llydia sat up and saw a stranger just a few feet away from her. She quickly got to her senses and stood up, "Hello?" She said unsure.
Lani looked over at a girl who she hadn't noticed before. "Um, hi," she said hesitantly. She took a step back in case the girl wasn't to be trusted.
"Who are you?" Llydia asked, keeping her eyes suspiciously on the girl she has currently encountered with.
"Just a girl," Lani says hurriedly. She wasn't sure if the girl was native or one of the survivors from the shipwreck she had observed from above.
"Well, then. So am I." Llydia then remembered about the shipwreck. "Are you one of the survivors?" She asked, as a messenger. She felt ashamed not knowing the girl if she is a Native on first-hand, on second though; she did limit her passing of messages to only trustworthy people.
Lani thought a minute about her response. She didn't want to lie but she didn't want to give herself away before she trusted this girl enough. "I'm certainly surviving," she began. "Surviving from what, though. You'll have to be more specific."
"The boat, the shipwreck." Llydia told. "Everyone in the island know about it, it's impossible if you don't." She then stood straighter than before.
"Alright," Lani says, giving in. "I'm not a survivor from the wreck," she admits warily. She steps back once more and studied the girl's face in case of any sudden movements.
"Well, then. We're the same." Llydia then studied the girl's movement. "How come I haven't seen you before around the island?"
"Messenger. Explains a lot of reasons why." Llydia spoke. "Haven't told me your name yet, I'm Llydia." Her senses of danger starts to wear off.
"Um, hello?" Jason says awkwardly. "Lydia, have you seen Caitlyn?" he said, looking at the girl who he had met when she almost ran, or rather, flew him over.
"My name's Lani," she says, relaxing a little more now that they trusted each other with their names. "And a messenger? Cool. Is it fun?"
"Tiring but other than that, it's fun." Llydia smiles towards the girl. She then proceeded to look over her shoulder hearing someone call her name. "I haven't seen her around, why?" She asked.
Lani's guarded feeling came back a little at the sight of a new stranger. But seeing how Llydia and him seemed to know each other, she didn't feel so wary.
"Ummm... nothing. Thanks, bye." Jason says. He turns and leaves.
"Well, that was. . .weird." She looked around, a confused face plastered on her face. "Then, if you're a Native. Are you a Human?" Llydia asked, raising one of her eyebrows.
"Do you think that I'll be able to send messages just by walking?" Llydia found it funny that it was not obvious that she's a shapeshifter. "A Shifter, an Animal Shifter. What do you shift into?" She just had to ask, a bit curious.
"Birds, but I'm never sure what kind I'll shift into," Lani replies. "I'm assuming you must be some kind of bird too then, if you're a messenger," she guesses with a shrug.
"It's easier to fly, unlike my brother who actually shifts into a cat." Llydia chuckles. "He thinks it's somehow 'manly'."
"So, you shift into random birds then?"
"So, you shift into random birds then?"
"Well, a cat could be manly. If it was a tiger or something," Lani says with a laugh. "And yeah, I change into a random bird depending on my mood," she answers, nodding.
"That's cool." Llydia smiles warmly, she doesn't meet other shapeshifters often. "Are there only a few of us. . .I mean us shapeshifters?" She asks, they usually hide their disguises.
"I'm not sure." Lani shrugs. "I don't talk much to other people. That's why I'm rarely a hummingbird," she says, the corner of her mouth drawing up in a small smile.
"It's cool that you can shift into different birds. I only shift into an owl." She admits, the only way you can tell her from the other owls is if you look at her eyes which is blue whenever she transforms
"An owl is still cool. You can twist your neck all the way around," Lani says, smiling cheerfully. "My favourite part about shifting into birds is the freedom and the heights I feel when I fly." She looks up at the sky and her smile breaks into a grin.
"Want to have a race?" Llydia smirks, being a messaenger can be tiring but she did love a good friendly race."It's nice and sunny so we could do it." She then looked up the sky and nodded.
"Well, let's go then. Where should we go?" Llydia nodded and added a smile before she shifted into an owl, flying in a circular motion.
Lani shrugs in reply. She wonders what kind of bird she'll shift into and then she lets her body transform. She flaps her wings and in the air she realizes she is a simple bluebird.
Llydia blinked a few times before she looked at Lani's shift. She was surprised that she shifted into a bluebird, it was nice to put it in a way. She then looked around and saw patch of trees. She then gestured in her owl form to head there, as a race. She then flew towards the forest.
((To the forest. You post first.))
