What a great night meeting the one and only Joe Hill and getting a copy of his fantastic signed new book NOS4R2. There we were all sitting in our seats in our local bookstore...just waiting for Joe to arrive..and hey presto he was there taking a picture of us for his twitter feed! After a quick intro and hi to all his UK fans he read the opening from his book and it's a great feeling to hear the author read his own words, and indeed as I start to read his book I will hear him speak the words to me. As this was a formal Q&A lots of people were eager to ask questions of an author who is becoming a megastar and this was followed by the signing and photo session...and you can see a happy me with an equally happy Joe!

He was in Dayton a few weeks back. I wish I could've gone :(Congrats on getting to meet him and listen to a reading. He's always so candid at those things!
We've been chatting about this for a few weeks now. I know Trevor was totally pumped about this. I'm very glad it worked out for him. :)

I briefly thought about driving to Dayton but decided not to.
I haven't met any I didn't know personally. I'm friends with a couple like Susan SimoneHow far would you be from there? For me it would have been a 2 hour drive or so.

Here I am in work and still on a bit of a high from meeting joe! I think the UK cover for the hardback is amazing and I did not realize until last night the great play on the word Nosferatu...the vampyre... or the difference in the title between both the American and European version of the book ie "NOS4A2" and "NOS4R2" Going back to the UK cover of the book it is truly chilling a great reminder to the reader of what delights and horrors await him on reading this masterpiece..although I have not read yet but I will very soon...a little treat for me!
I have one word to say, Trev, and that is AWESOME! Great picture. He seems to be having as much fun as you are. Charlene, did you know that Kealan is going to be in Rhode Island very soon at a convention? That probably isn't far for you.
I was in the same room with Stephen King (it was an auditorium) once when we heard him speak but I have never met an author either. :(

Just promise you won't tie up Kealan and whisk him off somewhere and force him to finish the sequel to Kin....

Chris, I do know! I'm trying to figure some way to go without my husband!
J/K I wouldn't really do that. I don't think. :)
Depending on what happens with our vacations this year, we may attend.

I would have loved to go to the World Horror Convention and the Bram Stokers in New Orleans but it is right in the middle of the week of my daughter's graduation! Oh well, there is always 2014.
Charlene---no hobbling allowed!

Oh, Chris that's too bad. I know you were leaning heavily towards going to NO this year.
