Amyiw | 175 comments Since this isn't even out yet, release date June 4th, I don't know if I'll be able to get my hands on it. If I can, I will definitely read it, but I don't have much hope.

Jessica | 84 comments I have had it on pre order for quite some time, I can't wait.

Stephanee | 40 comments Hmmmmm I am just not sure about this one. I am such a fan of all Richelle Mead's books, but this one just isn't doing it for me. I like it, but I don't love it. I still have about 25 pages left so I really don't think it will improve that much for me. Maybe I just had to high of expectations considering how much I love her others series....

message 5: by K. (new) - rated it 1 star

K. | 96 comments It didn't have the best review on All Things Urban Fantasy.

Jessica | 84 comments I am 100 pages in and I am loving it so far. I am not quite a 1/4 of a the way through, so it could still go off for me. I don't really see that happening. I can only judge her off teh first couple succusbus blues books I have read from her, it is a rarity that I will consider reading a YA book. I like it so far.

Jennifer (jennifers_azalea) | 4 comments I am hoping this one will be a little different of a read. Sometimes the books/series become to predictable!!

Alicia Chapter 4 and they are already in bed ...... Sigh

Nikki (withererose) Waiting for my copy from the library :( since it's new it's taken forever :( boo lol looking forward to reading it though :)

Jessica | 84 comments I am almost done... I like it a lot... I love the world building.

Alicia Finished this and really liked it. Loved how she is creating the world for us. However, I am still a bit confused with the classes plebeian caste gem men ..... I could have used a bit more explanation. :(

Jessica | 84 comments What are you confused about?

Richelle has information about the world on her
website about some of this stuff.

Gemmen are cittizens of RUNA (Republic of United North America)

Plebeian, Plebeians - Term for most of the RUNA's population, those created from its genetic mixing programs. Most plebeians have dark hair and eyes, with tanned skin.

Castes - Slang term for patrician groups, those who clung to their ethnic heritage and were exempted from genetic mandates after the Decline because of financial contributions to the early government. Patricians identify with a particular culture (Irish, Egyptian, etc.) and select for features associated with that culture. Many patricians still live off of that early wealth and have established aristocratic mini-societies on special regions allocated to them, called land grants.

So in other words Genetic mixing reduced the Cain and so Plebians were healthier less likely to get Cain but The Castes are really kinda racist and or proud of their heritage taht plebians are beneath them

Alicia thanks that is really helpful. I did not think to check her website. you're the best

Jessica | 84 comments I think she would have been best to put that glossary in her book. I was very confused about the Egos at first. I just happened across her stuff when I was googling the series see if I could find any information.

Nikki (withererose) I just finished it and I do have to say I really enjoyed it. I liked it a lot better than Storm Borne for sure. I will definitely keep reading this series. I really liked the world building, the characters, and the story is awesome. Glad I decided to read it still even though I didn't get the copy from the library till July even though this was a June read lol.

I get impatient too, but then again I have so many series to catch up on. Every time I participate i participate in one of these book of the month and really like it and then realize there are X number more to read... It can be over whelming haha. I was in post secondary for 6 years so there were few series I had time to keep up with, after I was out I remembered how much I LOVED to read for pleasure. two years after being out of school I am over whelmed by how many books are on my to read list, probably be many more if I was looking for more. Alas though I think 34 books so far this year is pretty good.

Lol I know the feeling of being overwhelmed. I'm trying to read as much before I go back to school next week. I'm currently reading book #50 of the year lol

Nikki (withererose) So although I have already read this I found it at Barnes and Noble for 50% off plus my 10% discount for being a member so it was like 10 bucks....for a hardcover...so I bought it since I'll end up reading it again and can have it for my collection. So if anyone wants to purchase it for cheap go to Barnes and Noble
