Plotwise, it's extremely similar to Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.Writing-wise, it's similar to Maggie Stiefvater's works. (She also wrote about werewolves.)
And if you're a fan of the mind-psychic bond between Kami and Jared, try Graceling by Kristen Cashore.
some book that are similar are the [ mortal instrument] it about love and friendship , their also have werewolf ,vampire and many other creature in the book . It a really really amazing book!*****
Probably obvious, but Sarah Rees Brennan's other books (The Demon's Lexicon trilogy) share some elements. They are somewhat less romantic, but still have strong family bonds, magic and humour.
This book and plot were scarily similar to Beautiful Creatures. I totally could have believed it if someone told me this was the British retelling of the story. -A boy and a girl who can talk in each other's heads.
-A small town where everyone knows each other and no one leaves.
-The idea of people with witch-like abilities.
-Old rich families everyone is afraid of.
-Everyone telling the main character to stay away from the love interest because they're part of that scary family.
I never said it was bad. Beautiful Creatures was amazing, if you liked this, you'll like that.
