page 3 - 233 in The Modern Library edition.

I find that even though I've read 233 pages, not a lot has happened so far. People keep trying to justify their actions by saying "what could I do? It's not my fault!", which I find sightly irritating.

My Uncle read Anna Karenina last year and told me that he really hated Anna, and I'm starting to see why. She knows what she's doing is wrong and how it affects family after seeing what it did to her brother's family but she can't seem to figure out why she feels guilty about it in Part 1. In Part 2 we find out that she's pregnant, which takes this affair to another level. I found that there wasn't much lead up to this, that it was just suddenly part of the story with no explication.

That being said, I am enjoying it.
